I would talk to a Ford rep directly.
  2. MY2022 Price Protection

What was the change you made?
  3. Towel or terry cloth covers for MGV seats

The benefit to these is you can quickly drape it over while the seat is basking in the sun in the parking lot, and pull it off the shaded, non-scalding seat to drive.
  4. Towel or terry cloth covers for MGV seats

They literally make seat towel covers that hang on the headrest. Soon there will be ones for the Bronco if not already. Perfect for that.
  5. How many long haulers are left ? unscheduled July '20 reservation holders?

The only downside there, is that the price of the 2023 Gladiator I’d be ordering instead is also going up between 2020-2023.
  6. Roof Chair System Patent Filed by Ford

    Aunt Edna Approved!
  7. Understanding Dealer Allocations and Order Priority

Exactly…and I think it is misinformation people spread here about Rez order not being a factor anymore. I think they need to understand that the Rez order is NOT relative to ALL timestamps globally, but only specific to their selling dealership’s Rez orders. It is also VERY dependent upon that...
  8. How many long haulers are left ? unscheduled July '20 reservation holders?

Price protection is the only reason I’m still waiting.
  9. How many long haulers are left ? unscheduled July '20 reservation holders?

7/28/20 - No VIN. Staying pumped by visiting the Gladiator B&P regularly now. Trigger finger is getting itchy.
  10. Roof Rack Mounting point broken

I wouldn’t cut the spot welds…I’d use a hole saw to just remove the “dome” area. Unscrew the bolt, thread in new bolt from behind, weld dome back in place. Everything stays in factory position.
  11. Am honestly Curious on how many day one orders got pushed back to 2023

They are still scheduling and building 2022s after 3/8. Hell, they are still building 2021s, afaik.
  12. GMRS Radio install? Antenna and mic location

That was a direct response to Ninagel regarding the difference between a ground plane vs a ground. Not a global statement, to be taken out of context, of the the installation of all varieties of all RF electronic devices in perpetuity. :geek:

The radio is electrically grounded to your battery, which is grounded to your chassis. The antenna is grounded to your vehicle body, which is grounded to your chassis. You still need to mount the antenna near a ground plane (reflector), ie. the hood, roof, etc.
  14. GMRS Radio install? Antenna and mic location

From your source: In telecommunication, a ground plane is a flat or nearly flat horizontal conducting surface that serves as part of an antenna, to reflect the radio waves from the other antenna elements. The plane does not necessarily have to be connected to ground. That said, I think you...
  15. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

I’m not emotional about it at all, lol. I’m just curious about the thought process for those at ground zero that exude semi indifference. It’s an incredibly unfortunate position to be in. I empathize.
  16. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

For your sake I sure hope so…but what is the hopeful outlook based on? What do you hope they rubbed on your valves that they didn’t rub on the motor next to yours? Are you confident enough to keep it past warranty? If I was in those shoes, I would have another one on order already and trade...
  17. Ford will ship Broncos without chips controlling non-safety critical features

Auto start/stop is right up there with automatic seatbelts in the 80s.
  18. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

Oh, gotcha. Maybe they would snap a pic for you? I think @Lucchese can determine date from the VIN.
  19. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]
