Super bummer on this whole thing. I have a secondary order at Horsham in PA that I was planning on trading my soft top Bronco to, but I imagine I'll be in a similar situation with them. I was hoping it would be like 6 months, not 18+.
Well hopefully they fix the pricing on the Badlands Squatch too. Considering it’s already got some of the components in the base build, it doesn’t make sense that it is so much more money this year.
Badlands Sasquatch jumps up in price while Lux drops down in price. End of the day, my build goes up $300 in price overall. Not bad. Unless they happened to remove some features from Lux in MY22.
Why is anyone shocked that they are announcing how credits will work for orders delayed into MY23. We've known since the spring that certain configurations would be delayed and price matched into MY23. There's literally nothing in this communication that suggests they won't even catch up on all...
I don’t think we are. It was known that some reservations prior to March would be delayed to MY23 because of the mod top or dual tops. Their orders are being pushed from MY21 to MY22 and they will be pushed again to MY23 around this time next year.
Of course they would address the fact that...
How on earth does it imply that? This matches the same thing they said all year long. You had to have a reservation or order in by March 19 for price protection.
Here’s a snippet of an email from June when they extended price protection to MY23…
“Price Protection Extension thru 2023 model year...
Yes. They did. Multiple times. And offered $1000+ in Ford Points for the issue. It affected all reservation holders.
If someone was dense enough to think they’d get a MY22 FE, then that’s a different issue all together.
One more reply… Your order can absolutely be changed from 99 right now. I literally placed a second order in September (after the cutoff) with MIC and that order went through fine and is not 99’d. I wanted to get in ahead of MY22 ordering going live even though I know it’ll be a MY22 build.
Get an order summary sheet from your dealer. They should have sent you one when you placed the order so you could confirm that they had all the features you asked for. In the top right corner it’ll have the current priority code of the order.
Only issue with that build currently is the MIC. There were tons of similar soft top builds getting October / November dates over the past month of scheduling.
I don’t recall the last time I saw any official updates regarding build constraints. I guess the MIC 2.0 delay got them fairly caught...
The order tracker should have changed to “in production” prior to the window sticker being available. But either way, it means your vehicle has a blend date and it’s likely in the next week. What’s the date at the top?
