Here Read This.....may explain ...or The Evils of Rear Speakers It's probably design purposely

  3. Outer Banks with 4WP and Nitto goodies

OBX rims are starting to grow on me….with the right rubber around them. Nice job, looks really good!
  4. Audiophiles - which of these 2 speakers would you choose?

Basically higher sensitive speaker will play louder than a lower sensitive speaker with the exact same input. So if a woofer is more sensitive than a tweeter the frequencies going to the woofer will be louder than the frequencies going to the tweeter. It will sound bass heavy. You can...
  5. B&O and Base Speaker Size and Location

If it was me redoing the base system, I'd buy very high quality 6.5" coaxial speakers for the kick panels with my own built crossover and high quality 2 channel amp, maybe a sub, depends. Dump the rear and dash speakers.
  6. Audiophiles - which of these 2 speakers would you choose?

That's good! A lot of OEM's are 2 ohm. This further makes me think that the speakers are not in series.
  7. B&O and Base Speaker Size and Location

In a word, yes. You probably can get close the B&O setup with a DSP, measuring software, new amp/s, subwoofer etc. I would recommend that you speak with a car audio installer to lead you.
  8. Audiophiles - which of these 2 speakers would you choose?

I could be wrong, but I find it hard to believe that the EE’s would allow low frequency energy into mid range/tweeter speakers. The schematic you posted is simplistic that probably is geared toward the dealer mechanic for repairs. What is the schematic of the rectangle between the kick panel...
  9. Audiophiles - which of these 2 speakers would you choose?

You do not want your woofer sensitivity to be higher than your tweeters, they will over play your upper frequencies. You want higher sensitivity on the tweeter, easier to attenuate to woofer level. Has anyone check to see how Ford's crossover works before throwing in a different crossover?
  10. Audiophiles - which of these 2 speakers would you choose?

Two different animals. Just for clarification when I speak of drivers, I’m referring to distance within the same grouping, not between R/L
  11. Audiophiles - which of these 2 speakers would you choose?

Surprisingly, kick panels installs are considered one of the best locations. Also most coaxial speakers have directional tweeters.
  12. Audiophiles - which of these 2 speakers would you choose?

Sorry, my mistake in reading. My brain read ā€œCoaxialā€ not component. Disregard non-English part. What youā€˜re proposing will work fine. Theoretically speaker drivers should be within a certain distance of each other. Whether you hear it or not in auto; doubt it.
  13. Audiophiles - which of these 2 speakers would you choose?

There is more in play here than just speaker sensitive, although the statement are correct. Speaker impedance should also be taken into consider. For example if OEM is 2 ohms and is replaced with 4 ohms your amps will be cut in half. Therefore not play as loud. Kick panels are best location...
  14. 8 days old and already damaged by rock - dent and chipped paint

Last four cars somebody has caused damage to them. Ironically, the last time I was hit, was in the rear at a signal while on my way to order the Bronco! When I was on BMW X3 forum, a buyer pulled out of dealer’s lot and was immediately hit. Ouch!
  15. Fear and Loathing at Las Vegas Bronco Off-Roadeo (a First Peek) ... Pics too

I read it was for sale in 2019 for $90 M. Helluva a lot of Boy Scout popcorn! I asked, Ford is leasing the property. As much as they are investing, I bet the next five years. Just a guess though. I was told that each location was designed to give a "different experience". Ford would like you...
  16. Fear and Loathing at Las Vegas Bronco Off-Roadeo (a First Peek) ... Pics too

I was deciding to do Valley of Fire, but time and temp were not in my favor. I decided to explore the Red Rock Canyon area, which by the way is the same rock formation as Valley of the Fire, Aztec Sandstone. Lots to explore in the interstate 159/160 area. After the instructions at the Roadeo...
  17. Fear and Loathing at Las Vegas Bronco Off-Roadeo (a First Peek) ... Pics too

On a recent business trip to Las Vegas with my wife I was able to sneak out to find the Las Vegas Roadeo site. I can confirm that it is the old Boys Scout Camp on Mt. Potosi Canyon Rd. off of Highway 160. It is a forest service road that is well signed with road signs as well as a rock monument...
  18. All Bronco Off-Roadeo Locations Now Open For Reservations

I’ll try to get some pics if I can find it.
