  1. What if...

Why is a solid axle used in the rear for all (that I can easily think of) production 4x4s? What's the point of using a solid axle at all?
  2. What if...

Friends brought their Rubicon Gladiator over. Perfect for what it is. There isn't really anything I can see that needs to be done differently. That being said, it's exactly what it's supposed to be, but it isn't a Bronco. It's like not being a Forester or a Mustang. It doesn't best the...
  3. 2 door Bronco....where you putting doors?

Sitting in the garage collecting dust.
  4. 2021 Bronco final allocation numbers going to dealers

I didn't use those numbers as the only two options, but to illustrate a point. What's the exact amount? Annually, as the profit will change after production begins, and as each vehicle rolls down the line. So, $750M - $850M?
  5. 2021 Bronco final allocation numbers going to dealers

190k reservations and 60% conversion; 114,000 orders. $1,000 profit per vehicle = $114 million in profits the first year. If there is $10k in profit per vehicle, it's over a billion in profit the first year.
  6. Possible delays due to cargo ship stuck in Suez Canal

If the tops are a polymer, oil based material, then yep.
  7. Why isn’t Ford just releasing the Bronco as MY22?

There's no difference in the vehicle, it's not inferior or crap because it's a 2021???
  8. Why isn’t Ford just releasing the Bronco as MY22?

    Yeah, I don't want a 22 if they can deliver them in 21. I want a 1964 1/2, and if I have to wait for 22MY, I'm out completely.
  9. Troubles in Jeepville?

A friend just came by with a new Gladiator Rubicon EcoDiesel. I didn't ask about the price, but everything on that rig is built exactly the way it's supposed to be. I sure hope the Bronco Badlands is in the same league.
  10. Anyone waiting for a "square" (non-fastback) soft top for 2-door?

If they were having a sale, everything a penny, and announced 50% off I wouldn't buy the fastback top. I wouldn't put the fastback top on if they paid me. If they announce a "square" (shape of the hardtop), I would consider paying for it.
  11. 2021 Bronco final allocation numbers going to dealers

I meant exactly that, the quarterly scheduling. thanks.
  12. 2021 Bronco final allocation numbers going to dealers

@XCR440 So, dealers should be able to confidently say whether we're in the first wave of production/deliveries?
  13. Trektop Soft Top From Bestop Official Details - Twill / Vinyl / Part Numbers

@Its Brawnco I like that configuration too, in fact, better than any other soft top configuration. I ran something similar in my Jeep, with the back seats removed and a "Duster" from Bestop ( https://www.bestop.com/duster/ ) I'm hoping to do the same with the Bronco.
  14. What's the point of First Editions?

I think the intent was it would be special, but delays with tops and other issues have created a situation whereby you can get essentially the same vehicle in the same time frame. If FE vehicles were delivered first and had a unique-something other than the name of the trim, it'd be worth it to...
  15. New Ford Bronco to compete with Jeep Wrangler?

So glad you dragged this post from the archives. I missed it the first time.
  16. More Production delays?

I posted about this yesterday and the thread was quickly deleted as a Chicken-Little story.
