This post presupposes Ford is actually selling Broncos, LOL!
  2. A Velocity Blue Bronco Goes Retro With White Roof + White Fender Flares

Interesting. It's a little much. The one with the color matched top looks fantastic though.
  3. First Family Vacation with the Bronco - The Gateway to the West

You da man! Newborn baby. Heck with it. You want a 2 door. You got a 2 door. And with the Sasquatch! BTW, your kid is super cute. Ford needs to redesign that gauge cluster though. It makes no sense. Give us the analog tach in lieu of the speedo. Give us a simple digital speed readout...
  4. Installed 33 inch tires on stock Base rims - no mods required

One could go 265/75/16. That would probably look just as good, and TireRack says you could go down to 7" for those.
  5. Installed 33 inch tires on stock Base rims - no mods required

Those tires make those steelies look great.
  6. Central TX Bronco Club

Leif Johnson and Truck City are.
  7. Central TX Bronco Club

Got a chance to drive this one at Leif Johnson Ford today. Great crew over there. A couple thoughts. This is the 2.3 Big Bend, soft top, manual. In the pictures, I always thought the Big Bend tires needed a little more cowbell. Maybe a little too small. Frankly, in person, I thought they...

Wow, you put 35's on the stock wheels, right? Can you provide the specific tire size? I assume it fits well. Are there certain rules about how much tire you can put on these rims. I think they are 7.5 in, right? And then can the speedo be adjusted? How does that work if you know? Thanks.

    Now it's a Bigger Bend.
  10. I'm buying a FCTP Demo Bronco

I was looking more at the specs you listed. So you've got the 2 door OBX with the 2.7 V6. That thing must really move nicely. How's the acceleration from your perspective? I would think it might feel more spry than the Sasquatch builds we've seen.
  11. I'm buying a FCTP Demo Bronco

That looks great. I don't really want an OBX, but I always like them when I see them. Congrats.
  12. My Base Bronco Suspension vs Potholes! With Crawler Gear Action

Visually, the smaller tires seem to work better on the two door than the four door. It could still use more tire, but doesn't look too bad.
  13. 🏁 Acceleration Track Test : Bronco 2.7L and 2.3L versus Jeep Wrangler 3.6L [Car and Driver]

Yes, the Base and Big Bend are about 300 lbs lighter. The OBX saves about 200 lbs compared to an auto BD.
  14. 🏁 Acceleration Track Test : Bronco 2.7L and 2.3L versus Jeep Wrangler 3.6L [Car and Driver]

For me, it helps to understand that's it's good enough to be livable on daily driving. for example, let's say it got to 60 in 10 seconds, that might feel pretty anemic. It doesn't matter whether I can beat a Jeep on the drag strip though.
  15. 🏁 Acceleration Track Test : Bronco 2.7L and 2.3L versus Jeep Wrangler 3.6L [Car and Driver]

Put the shifter into manual mode and select 2nd. I believe you can select 1st or 2nd but not 3rd to start.
  16. 🏁 Acceleration Track Test : Bronco 2.7L and 2.3L versus Jeep Wrangler 3.6L [Car and Driver]

0-60 of 7.0 seconds and 1/4 mile at 15.5 for the two door Black Diamond with a 2.3 and a manual. That certainly respectable and quick enough for this type of vehicle. Looks good.
  17. 🏁 Acceleration Track Test : Bronco 2.7L and 2.3L versus Jeep Wrangler 3.6L [Car and Driver]

I think that's the data they had in house. don't think this is meant to be a head to head comparo. Just an fyi to give us an idea of the acceleration of the two vehicles in this segment.
  18. Base Bronco on 33" KO2 tires & 17" Method 701 wheels

Sweet ride. Those wheels make your "base" look like a top of the line model.
  19. Delivered 2.3L Manual Bronco Black Diamond owner's review: the Good and the Bad

Thank you for the write up. It's always encouraging to hear that the 2.3 is up to the task. Appreciate the info on hill start assist. Personally, I prefer old school hill start assist where they actually give you a hand brake that you can use. But I guess I need to embrace current technology...
