  1. It’s been fun, but today I walked into a Jeep dealer…

OP, TMI, another minute of my life I'll never get back.
  2. Fitment/Alignment - black plastic 'Cowl Cover' with Windshield

Wanted to provide an update to the Ford Motor Company bot. The alignment of the plastic cowl cover is sensitive to heat - the black plastic loses its alignment with the contour of the base of the windshield. The factory cowl did so, as does the replacement cowl which was removed from a new...
  3. Bronco got broken into last night

(OP) Think about reporting it to the local LE as well. your decision. May have been 'rogue and vagabon' complaints in that area on the same date, and/or past break-in incidents reported by victims where LE has already identified suspects.
  4. Dont put your hard top front panels in the back seat

Or, using the politically correct terms, cover with a 'blanket from Mexico'. ;)
  5. In LOVE with the Bronco! Want to leave car...

Did you place your order yet, find one on a dealer lot, buy a Jeep Wrangler, or finally decide to put chains on the Civic tires?
  6. Fitment/Alignment - black plastic 'Cowl Cover' with Windshield

Update: Replaced at dealership. The following day at pick up, the new cowl cover looked as bad as the original. I know you're thinking "Why did the Technician leave it installed if there was that gap again in the center?" When he installed the new cowl cover, the fitment was correct. Out in...
  7. The Most Common Bronco Colors You See? 🎨

I have to ask...Did you decide on an exterior color?
  8. The Most Common Bronco Colors You See? 🎨

OP John, I hope you are still in the market for a Bronco and have come to a decision; otherwise, can someone put this thread 'down' mercifully?
  9. Fitment/Alignment - black plastic 'Cowl Cover' with Windshield

Javier, Thanks for providing to the group. I'm not tech savvy enough to figure out - a great attachment. I have this and the wiper arm removal document as well.
  10. Fitment/Alignment - black plastic 'Cowl Cover' with Windshield

Thanks Brent, Reid...New cowl arrived last night. Dealer installation is Monday. I know, its black with windshield and sun screen reflection coming at it, but local temps not yet in the 90s. I'll let everyone know if any fasteners were the cause; or warpage was the issue.
  11. Fitment/Alignment - black plastic 'Cowl Cover' with Windshield

Thanks Bob, all... Either warped at the top where the plastic 'would have' met the windshield; or broken fasteners along the leading edge under the hood - unsecured and causing that center section to rise up and out - away from the windshield. Appreciate the review, all comments and photo. :)
  12. Fitment/Alignment - black plastic 'Cowl Cover' with Windshield

Dealer ordered one from Detroit. Will be here Wednesday. Was worried about accumulation of debris obviously, as well as Cabin air filter, etc...down below as well. Same reason rocker panels on our old trucks rotted away, accumulation. Wasn't only worried about cosmetics. :)
  13. Fitment/Alignment - black plastic 'Cowl Cover' with Windshield

Thank you. My clips can't be seen from atop the cowl cover. Clips "must" be ok on either side (passenger and driver) as the cover is secure on either side and aligned with the windshield on either side. Under-hood, the cover is secured by 11 parallel side-by-side male fasteners which...
  14. Fitment/Alignment - black plastic 'Cowl Cover' with Windshield

Parrie, Reid, Loosened fasteners both on black cowl cover as well as mirror covers on either side. Pressing on center of cover determined that the panel "would" align if fasteners "would" engage. Difficult if not impossible to see the fasteners. Unsure whether the fastener(s) for the center...
  15. Fitment/Alignment - black plastic 'Cowl Cover' with Windshield

For comparison, noticed what appears to be misalignment of the black plastic cowl cover with the windshield. Not garaged at the moment. Its' that time of year and the 'helicopter' leaves have started to fall. Noticed many below the plastic cowl - having fallen into the gap centered at the...
  16. How Is Soft Top Delivered?

The DIO was listed with my VIN on the boxes.
  17. How Is Soft Top Delivered?

Well, I hope that the labels on the boxes were correct. Maybe I should open them to be sure. They may have given me two tops. Were waiting at the dealership when my 2-door arrived on the 20th.
