I’m glad it seems like everyone is having good results with this setup. Mine came today and my kick panel speakers get here tomorrow so hopefully I’ll get mine all set up tomorrow. Can’t wait to hear the difference it makes!
Ya I’m sure I could figure it out just have to see what wires go where. Just saw another guy say it sounds great running all six so I’m going to give that a go. But like you said if it doesn’t sound like I want I’ll just modify it. Thanks again for the input.
Thanks I appreciate the help.
I’ve tried contacting joe multiple times with questions but joe never responds lol. I ended up ordering the same kit as OP. Maybe I’ll see how it sounds and if I don’t like it I’ll try the other route.
did you set yours up this way? And just have the rear pods...
I found using a long flathead screwdriver works best. I start at the front top by the passenger door. Start peeling the panel back and when you see your white clips work the screwdriver in there and separate the clip where it connects by prying one of the three prongs out a little bit. The clip...
You might be right but when I spoke with crutchfield I did ask this. They insisted the key had plenty of power to run both speakers up front on one channel. I suppose though maybe there would be an issue with dsp in this case maybe I’ll ask crutchfield again.
According to crutchfield it should open up the rear pods without the sound bar flash or forscan. That’s why the recommended base blockers back there as well.
My brother is a mechanic he actually just gave me a handful lol. The one I did use (driver side) I had to cut some of the round part that slides in the slot as the head was larger than factory ones. Is that what you’re talking about?
They can be removed but of course more difficult and will most likely be destroyed doing so. I actually ended up sticking with the factory clips but I wrapped the round part that slides into the panel with cloth tape. It did eliminate the rattle I had there. I do have another one though where...
I spoke with crutchfield for a while today and got some great tips. They do recommend upgrading all speakers if you do install the kicker 200.4. I don’t know if they know all the specs On the factory speakers but they don’t think they’d handle the amplified sound well. They did also recommend...
I mean if it were me and they refused MSRP I’d say you contacted ford and they told you MSRP for GT holders and you could move your reservation to a dealer that will honor that. Basically they’ll lose their allocation for your raptor and you’ll buy elsewhere.
What’s the worst thing that can...
ya customer service and website maybe arent their strong suit. it is a bit confusing but im sure they are swamped with questions because of this thread.
but to me it looks like kit 14 and 15 are the same except the harness length. 14 is 6 ft and 15 is 17 ft. hope that helps.
I asked a few questions through message on here and on the website. Never heard a thing but I went ahead and ordered. I’ll probably end up calling crutchfield with any questions. Their customer service is awesome.
