  1. Bronco

So, not a failure, but a "trick" situation? I'm thinking I need to take my Bronco out and run some tests to see how it reacts in different scenarios. I have an automatic, so I suspect it will be different in the same scenario than the manual. I'd prefer to learn under a controlled condition...
  2. NEW Recon Pro Wheel with Innerlock and HALO Wheel Armor from ICON Alloys

Yeah, I’m keeping them. I see them as a badge of honor showing that my Bronco isn’t a pavement princess. šŸ˜Ž All kidding aside, I’m waiting for my stock tires to wear out. Then it new tires and wheels along with a lift so I can run 37ā€. BTW, I watched your video about swapping to 5.13’s. I think...
  3. Bronco

They aren’t a bad thing either. As you point out it’s just different. The old dogs among us just need to learn some new tricks. šŸ˜Ž
  4. Bronco

This is the kind of thinking that got us a seat belt clip recall.
  5. Bronco

That should have shown up as a code. Has anyone looked at the code history yet?
  6. NEW Recon Pro Wheel with Innerlock and HALO Wheel Armor from ICON Alloys

By rock rash you mean something like this? 😜 I have something like this on all 4 of the beauty rings on my Badlands SAS. Most of which I picked up at Big Bear Bronco Bash. LOL
  7. UAW and Ford have reached a contract agreement! [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

It's hard to pick a favorite. I love the trails in Big Bear. There are some fun ones near where I live in Santa Clarita. If you're old school, Miller Jeep Trail up near Gorman is iconic.
  9. 2024 Bronco Safari @Moab permit denied; 30 days to appeal!

Interesting you mentioned Dome Plateau. Back in 2021 that’s the trail that we ran when I attended Off-roadeo.

Sorry for the short notice. I'm going to lead a run up here in North LA County. We will hit Leona Divide and Tule Divide, and then stop at the rock Inn for beverages and Bronco bonding. :) I've posted an even here, as well as that other forum. Note the link to the form you need to fill out...

Sorry folks, this run is full. See you next time. This will be a mostly easy/scenic run on Leona Divide and Tule Divide and after the run we will stop at The Rock Inn for some after run bonding over the beverage(s) of your choice. This is a 2-3 rated trail, however, there is a spot at the end...

  15. 2.7L and 3.0L engine NHTSA probe expanded -- defective fractured intake valves issue [WARNING: NO TROLLING]

Part of the problem is that they are required to respond to any complaints. So, for both the valve issue, and the seatbelt issue enough complaints were received for them to open an investigation. Those complaints could have little or no merit, but the investigation will still happen. Keep in...

  17. (Update 11/8/25...Its ALIVE!!!) 760hp 5.2 supercharged (GT500) Predator engine swap Bronco info thread

This begs the question, why not use the engine from the "R" rather than the GT500? Also, to quote Carrol Shelby "There's no such thing as too much horsepower ... just not enough traction". What's your plans for drivetrain and/or suspension changes to keep that monster engine under control?
  18. Rubicon Trail is now passable.

Exactly the same for me. Just a bit of a scratch, minor ding at the lower part where the driver and passenger doors meet. I got that doing Miller Jeep Trail and that convinced me that the ZroadZ were the way to go. They have been great, BTW. Protected me very nicely on Heartbreak Ridge Trail...
