Thanks for sharing your project! This is some really great work. I'm planning on a very similar project when my Bronco arrives.
Here are some customizations I'm considering - I would love to hear your thoughts:
Instead of 6" lumber for the frame, using 10" or 12" for additional depth. This may...
@Zach@Granger can you speak to the MY23 price protection private offer, and how it works at Granger? My understanding is that most of us should qualify for the larger amount, since we're reservation holders and pre-March 2021 orders.
Maybe I wasn't clear - there is no animosity behind my statements. I am just trying to clarify for all the folks who aren't aware of your post history.
In your post you said you were about 417 in line at Granger, which is not actually where Granger says you are, but your own personal estimate...
Careful throwing around your own personal estimate of where you are in line - it could cause confusion and questioning of Granger's list.
At first my own alarm bells started going off, since I'm 535 on this list and I reserved in October 2020. How is he in front of me?!
Then I remembered your...
That's especially frustrating because I would actually prefer a soft top, but two years after launch it's still not an option for 2-doors. Another way Ford has completely bungled the reintroduction of the Bronco.
Thanks @Zach@Granger for all your hard work and transparency. I'll be buying something from Granger in the future - it just might not be a Bronco.
I'm a late Grangetober reservation holder (535 on the list). I'm frustrated by the way Ford has handled this, just like everyone else.
What I...
It seems like you emphasized the wrong part. It's pretty clear they're talking about folks who are not in the price protection program:
Who qualifies for the Bronco Price Protection Program?
If you placed an order or reservation prior to March 19, 2021, you qualify for price protection. If you...
There's a price protection megathread/flowchart floating around that's pretty handy. I'm no expert, but my understanding is that switching between trim levels that existed in MY21 does not invalidate price protection (ie BD to Badlands is okay). Adding options doesn't remove price protection...
This is great work and I'll probably use a similar design when I get my Bronco. Nicely done.
If you redo the hinges, you might consider mounting the set closest to the front on the bottom instead of the top. That way the two pieces fold up in a "z" pattern, and lay flat in the back when the...
There's a market for something like this with a hitch receiver integrated. Then a winch could easily be added when needed, and removed otherwise so as not to interfere with sensors/camera. It would also be good option for folks that tow for maneuverability in tight situations.
Thanks for sharing, it's looking good! Love the rear seat delete.
The "short" hockey stick is a cool idea too - have you considered applying the final small section of the graphic so that it doesn't end as abruptly? Seems like you could take the final, rounded piece that's made for after the...
I messaged the dealership to find out which one they were getting, they believe it's a four door Wild Track. So it's probably the same one from Corpus Christi.
