That's ridiculous. I wouldn't want the dealer adding anything I didn't ask them to install, especially if it involves wiring and potentially drilling. That's a tough spot to be in, if all else fails maybe you can negotiate paying an extra $500+ and the dealer not install anything.
This is what I was thinking also. The last person out of "In Production" status may be near MAP and get their Bronco delivered weeks before someone on the West coast for example who has a 1 - 2 week train ride and 1+ week railyard wait before delivery.
Not a big deal either way, just my .02
Stuff I ordered that has been delivered:
Redline Hood Struts
KC Hilites Flex Era 4 pod lights
Baja Designs Fog Pocket Kit
JCR Offroad Pre-runner Hoop
Stickerfab items
Waiting on:
IAG EZ-lift for the soft top
Antenna delete
I think I'm going to hold off on ordering anything else until my Bronco...
What happens if the last group of people in purgatory are all moved from in production to built on the same day? Should there be a tie-breaker or everyone splits the prize?
* Correction *
There is no VDM 721 field in either Bronco on the lot. I should read things a little more carefully, too much tracker checking, lol.
Here's what is shown for one of the Broncos on the lot. It's a 2021, so maybe VDM 721 is exclusive for 2022?
I checked the inventory of a dealership near me, there's a Bronco in transit that has null for VDM 721, but there's a Bronco on the lot and it does not have null for VDM 721. So something happens after delivery that populates that field I'm guessing.
Same here, it was 1/31 for me prior to today. Mine is going to Arizona, so maybe there's a bullet train for vehicle transportation we don't know about.
From looking at the purgatory tab in the spreadsheet, it looks like most of us in purgatory have tow. But there have been many Broncos from our build week and following build weeks with tow that have been built and shipped, so who knows?
@Ford Motor Company do you know?
I'm not sure if that was Karen I spoke to that time, but she seemed to have more info than the other CS reps I have spoken with. But I think the built status change doesn't always happen when it's picked up by the carrier based on other people's experiences.
And I've called CS twice since then...
These are regional I believe, the Arizona one was in October. If you are going I suggest getting there early if you want to drive a Wildtrak as they only have a couple, at least they did in October.
Stickerfab sells these in case you want the look of the amber DRLs but don't want to go the Forscan route:

I was getting frustrated after being in production for three weeks, I can't imagine what 6 months of waiting is like.
Ford should give you 20,000,000 Fordpass points or swap you to a Bronco Raptor for a six month delay/ wait with no communication. Who knows how long you'd have to wait for the...
