  1. Which CV shaft is correct.

@Ducati1098 I am currently doing an m190 to m210 swap. I just got the m210 mounted today. I have RCV CV half shafts I got from another member. Trying to figure out which is which. One has a longer spline stub shaft on the diff side. I would think that is for passenger side intermediate shaft...
  2. Bron'Con 2026!

Did an m190 to m210 FDU swap. Maybe @popo_patty won’t send me packing now if I go wheeling with him. Still gonna keep the 22” rims though. This event looks like a good time
  3. Resolved! - Need a torque spec - M210 FDU bolt

Awesome. Thank you. Wanna get those bolts correct.
  4. Resolved! - Need a torque spec - M210 FDU bolt

@Ducati1098 I am in the middle of an fdu swap (m190 to m210). What are torque specs for front drive shaft torx bolts to fdu?
  5. Brake Pads and Right to Repair

I would personally never hand out my VIN to anyone. PERIOD. I keep it 697,564 bit digitally encrypted. They can determine your blood hematocrit from your VIN. Next thing you know you’re abducted by aliens and getting experimented on. Not doing that. Well actually you won’t know since they erase...
  6. 37s - 6112 vs HOSS 3.0/Eibach HD springs

For your use case, daily driver with 37s and moderate off-road, there are really only minimal gains in travel from coilovers. Attached is a list of extended lengths. For CV health the max allowable extended length is 24.3” anyway. I wouldn’t over think travel numbers. I would be more concerned...
  7. What all do i need for a 3.5-4" lift Badlands Sasquatch?

    Whatever… no cool points for you… unfollowing @SierraBronco now…
  8. What all do i need for a 3.5-4" lift Badlands Sasquatch?

Only counts if you laser etched 74weld on the modified shock towers up front.
  9. What all do i need for a 3.5-4" lift Badlands Sasquatch?

All of the curves assume a fixed offset of +30mm (oem sas). smaller offset wheels would increase stability and move all of the curves downward slightly. Most of the portal folks would be running oemish offset wheels to keep scrub radius under control. The main point was to show how significantly...
  10. Looking at Badlands vs Sasquatch Wheel/Steering Geometry

My post was just trying to clarify the whole scrub radius thing. Not trying to spread fear about steering and scrub radius. The hoss 3 rack likely has very good factors of safety. I wouldn’t over think the wheel offset. OEM will be very conservative for increased steering rack factors of...
  11. Looking at Badlands vs Sasquatch Wheel/Steering Geometry

the steering axis (kingpin axis) does NOT change between models, since all models use the same double wishbone geometry (LCA, UCA, knuckle, and frame hard points). Given the same coilover geometry (compressed and extended length), the kinematics of the double wishbone dictates the kingpin axis...
  12. Sway bar end links after lift

something is strange here. The sway bar is attached to the frame and the end links are attached to the LCA. Adding lift at the wheels through increased coilover static equilibrium length at ride height will necessarily increase LCA angles. thus sway bar end links should need to be increased.
  13. Which Portals Are Right For You? (Satire)

He keeps saying leverage… I don’t think he understands the meaning. “gain something better through influence” … them portals be better just ask the influencers.
  14. Tires, Camber, UCAs, and wear

just a sensitive angle gauge is probably good enough. What gauge do you have? when I first put on my 6100 bilsteins I just eyeballed it. Used a carpenters level and tape measure. Drove around for 6 months or so. I had the oem tires I was trying to wear out anyway so not worried. I did...
  15. Tires, Camber, UCAs, and wear

As you apply lift to the front double wishbone the effective shock length must increase and LCA angles obviously get larger. (More negative in plots). Plots show the kinematics of LCA angle and camber angle vs shock displacement. Also a nice pic of IFS in camber view. Zero shock displacement on...
  16. Which Portals Are Right For You? (Satire)

This is the guy you want to wheel with.
  17. Lower ball joint nuts missing or fell off??

The moon is slowly moving closer to the earth. All of humanity is doomed…. Uhhmmm, never mind… this just requires a torque wrench.
  18. Which Portals Are Right For You? (Satire)

Wwwwhhaaaat, bulletproof means shop bolts on and that’s the end of it… cancels tibus portal order. Curious, are the tibus lighter than your WW units?
  19. Which Portals Are Right For You? (Satire)

Probably not a typical BMW owner. My 2016 diesel with almost 200k miles. Gonna join the 500k club one day. I should probably start hoarding diesel fuel now. WTF is world coming to… just got this post deleted by admin. and yeah… being a member of the elite, it really is my lane you douche.
  20. Which Portals Are Right For You? (Satire)

Removing BMW from my B6g profile now.
