Yup, exactly. I lopped off the RCA heads and split the remaining wire, put terminations on them, and wired them each to a bound pair of speaker wire, and spliced each single wire to the color-indicated wires just upstream of the 6.5" speaker.
I'm not a car audio guy, but I fully expected that...
Got mine installed today! That took a LOT longer than I thought it was going to, and I'll be happy if I don't have to do that any time soon. I took my time, had to run upstairs probably 50 times, and probably overdid it with tab terminals & heat shrink at every connection.
I was so relieved to...
I'm the data guy from a few pages ago, and I made the improvements to the windshield + first (only) row of panels this week. I'm aiming to take a long series of measurements probably tomorrow morning to see the difference that the easy half makes.
No ETA at all on doing the hardshell back...
This is definitely the way to go. I'm pretty savvy at Photoshop but nothing beats the real thing.

So people have been hilariously quick to ask everyone else to collect noise data without actually doing it themselves.
I'm attempting to rectify that.
I've got an actual decibel meter. I've made a few drives with the meter on and clamped about 8" behind the driver-side ear. And I'm logging data...
Haha I read the OP without looking at the timestamp.
I didn't do all of this crap to not share, so here it is anyway.
Hint: go back to normal sasquatch flares!
I am NOT ashamed to admit I forum-searched for this too once my Bronco was en route.
I've aftermarket-hardwired in my ipod into every vehicle I've owned and had hopes there'd be a solution for the 6G too.
I don't like Snyc4 + the ipod, and wish there were a way to control the music from the...
Hmm, I imagine it's probably regionally specific how much things are going for.
In Texas, I've seen the following trim package wheels/tires/TPMS (sometimes) get listed locally and later deleted, which I'm presuming means they were successfully sold:
- Big Bend: $500-800
- Black Diamond...
