Now give us a 2dr soft top that folds all the way down and we would be willing to spend some money! The quality of the current soft top is great but just sitting on top of the roll bar when it folds down totally misses the mark esthetically.
Mine showed up yesterday….what are the torque specs for the tcase flange and pinion yoke? I wanna make sure I don’t mess up the crush sleeve and preload.
I only have seen them for the 4 dr so far. Unfortunately the 2 Dr often gets forgotten when it comes to aftermarket items. If I could find a good one I would be interested as well.
So just to add to the issue I brought up yesterday…..here are a couple screenshots from the video exodus put out after they installed their RK 4 link. If I remember right this is the fox hoss 3.0 shocks, icon lowers and portals.
😂fair enough…yup. It was absolutely fine on road. It wasn’t till I got it out flexing it out I heard it hit. At ride height my shocks sit pretty much in the center of the travel. 4” down and 4” up.
We did not discuss door count but since the suspension is identical I would imagine it’s possibility…but a 4 door likely has a sway bar that limits travel. Basically the more down travel you have the higher the chance of it happening. As the passenger side compresses and the drivers side falls...
Ok I wanted to make people aware of something I haven’t seen brought up yet about RK’s 4 link……because of its ability to flex and the super short arms you do start to get some rear steer from the rear axle….which would not be a huge deal but the pinion yoke and driveshaft can contact the gas...
Yes rock jock…it’s still Currie in my brain…I don’t and have never had a factory rear sway bar. the rock jock sway bar on the 6g bronco actually sits below the frame and most exhaust options seem to be in they way but if you sure it works it would definitely be a contender. Could it be bought...
No. Just 1.75 7075 aluminum with Johnny joints at both ends..but yup it’s flexy. It will travel enough that it gets rear steer from the short arms and the pinion will actually contact the gas tank….which isn’t awesome and I should probably bring it up in the RK thread instead of magnaflows. Lol
Yeah I have the RK 4 link as well…it has put a couple dings on the exhaust but it may get worse since I lowered it down a tad….so I very well may have to do the same….i get it. No reason to spend the extra coin if there is no improvement….
lol. It may come to that, but I was hoping to find a solution that was fairly quiet and don’t sound like a bad Honda exhaust….unfortunately I will probably be disappointed….that is the main thing holding up adding the sway bar at the moment.
