I suspect the 2.7 Badlands has a very soft off throttle map due to its focus as a rock crawler. Sport mode changes that of course. Maybe you should do your comparo against a 2.3 Badlands - both in normal drive mode.

I just think an under roll is speedier in emergencies. Pull down the right way and u get half the roll
