I'd probably be into that trim level if it weren't for the color matched fenders (w/o sas). It's a bit too Ford flex-like for me. I'm sure it'd be able to set up a swap w/someone on here, bit it's just extra hassle ?‍♀️
Makes sense that it's an efficiency req I guess. There's probably some EPA standard that requires Ford to provide the tools to a user to show them how to meet the mileage claim. Probably in normal driving conditions folks would meet that naturally - bet it's one of those reqs where they have to...
So, I'm really stressing about mid/manual, now that I'm considering manual again. I haven't been able to tell from the various threads on here,or I just plain suck at searching... well I know I do... but anyway, is it known for sure than man/mid is not an option for the 1st year? I 100% don't...
Good point - I'll get sick of staring at it all the time. What with the fancy LCD part of the instrument cluster, I'm secretly hoping someone says it's on one of the info screens and can be toggled, or somethin'.
Manual vs auto was already a close race to me, and now that pricing has changed a little I'm seriously considering going with the manual instead of 2.7 auto.
That lead to me reminiscing about the "olden" times with my '08 manual focus. Last 4-wheeled thing I've daily driven with a standard...
I'm in a similar dilemma as OP. Advanced auto w/o sas is the most compelling reason for me to stick with BD. I'm also a bigger fan of the color options on BD.
I'm also reconsidering 2.7 Auto vs. 2.3 manual now that the pricing has changed a little. A manual BD would be pretty cool, and B&P...
I'm going w/ 2d +27EB so I will wave and pop a wheelie when crossing paths with fellow bronco owners.
Edit: and when I cross paths with other cars, trucks, suvs, pedestrians, various quadrupeds, bicycles, and when I feel like it.
I'd like to see hand measurements of the cargo area length and width with the seats folded down on the 2d. I've heard it was 4' at one point, but I don't recall seeing someone state that they've made the measurement. Also curious about width.
Other than that, just rocking back and forth waiting...
I'm liking those black rhino wheels. If I get sick of my steelies, I know what I'm going for :) Timely post, I saw a Gladitor with similar rims last weekend and was wondering what the heck they were!
I also have some old Toyota wheels with the same lug pattern, though I've yet to determine if...
Given there seemingly other quirks in B&P, I'm also hoping for this. If need be, I'll go up to BD to get it, but the other BD things over BB aren't major selling points to me.
One thing I like a lot about the bronco is it's similar to the FJ... in that it's riding on a truck-like platform. At least if you go the 2.7 route, you get an engine and transmission that's fully pulled from the truck lineup. I've heard good things about the 2.7, although the 2010 refresh of...
Interesting. I guess you don't get the upgraded bash plates and rock rails? That's the only other thing I can think of. IDK, I'm going to BD for mid and because I can get orange (I'm going auto though, so don't have the same issue about no mid). I wouldn't be surprised to see mid/man as an...
I'ma pick a synthetic what meets the stuff in the manual, and change at the recommended mileage ?‍♀️ probably not gonna think much harder about it. Mobil, Valvoline, Kirkland Signature, Walmart brands all seem to have done the deed in the past.
Thanks @KAQ, I will look into the CarMax option. At least in WA state, vehicle sales tax is only on the post trade-in value. I'll weigh what I can expect through CarMax vs. a potentially sub-par trade + sales tax savings on the bronco. At least in my area, the tax savings might come to around 2k...
Given I'll be trading, I'd like some vague promise that I'll be getting a fair shake on my trade-in when it comes to delivery time. Practically speaking, I'm not sure how I'd be able to get the dealer to commit to accepting my vehicle within xx% of KBB or NADA or whatever. What I'm worried about...
