  1. Do I need hard shackles with this set-up?

Your recovery gear bag will depend on how far in to the weeds you want to go. But like above says it is good to have a couple D shackles for rigging because you don’t always know how or what you are going to find on other vehicles. If you have a couple soft shackles, D rings and a kinetic rope...
  2. Do I need hard shackles with this set-up?

I would assume that opening behind the shackle pin hole is designed to be used with a soft shackle. Doesn’t that opening go all the way through? If so that has to be what it is for.
  3. Do I need hard shackles with this set-up?

That looks like it is only about the size of a shackle pin. Soft shackle probably won’t fit. Speaking of cool if you like spending money I recall seeing someone that designed shackles for the Bronco that look like horse shoes that might look cool. AR S.I.T.H...
  4. Do I need hard shackles with this set-up?

He is correct if the recovery points have sharp edges like the above then get the D shackles. But take a look before you buy. a lot of manufacturers of off-road equipment are starting to design recovery gear with soft shackles in mind so you will see a lot more rounded edges on recovery points...
  5. Do I need hard shackles with this set-up?

Don’t have my bronco so don’t know how rounded the holes in the recovery points are. If they are rounded with no sharp edges there is no need for D shackles. That is assuming of course that the hole in your recovery point is large enough to put the soft shakle through.
  6. First a deer and now Bronco rollover. Stay safe out there! âť„

Dude looking at that really puts things in perspective. We have all had our panties in a bunch because we couldn’t get the truck we wanted when we want it. There are things much more important in life than a stupid truck. I am so glad you guys are ok.
  7. 4D Soft Tops...really?

    Yes it has been covered….extensively
  8. BRONCO First Edition raffle ...ENDS IN LESS THAN 1 HOUR!

I had a build date of 12/6 and it finally showed up on the tracker as built on 12/27 AND I still think my odds may be better of winning the raffle then actually seeing this thing in my garage.
  9. The Bronco at -40F COLD WEATHER TEST 🥶

That is good to know if I ever decide to drive to the North Pole or if Santa needs to borrow my Bronco to deliver gifts next year.
  10. BRONCO First Edition raffle ...ENDS IN LESS THAN 1 HOUR!

Thanks for the post and good on them for donating the Bronco. Don’t expect to win but willing to donate to a good cause. I feel like my odds of wining this are about as good as getting my Bronco built.

  12. Is the Wildtrak worth the wait or should I buy a 4Runner TRD Pro

Love Toyota and have driven them consistently for the last 30 years. My current DD is a 2004 4Runner. That said you can’t take the doors/roof off the 4Runner and the interior and tech are super dated.
  13. Bronco 1975 vs. Bronco 2021

75 for me no question. In a few years your 21 will be one of millions and the 75 will still be one in a million.
  14. Bronco smash and grab [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

It may be hard to find out but with a license plate I would be VERY tempted to try and get an address for that asshole. In college a friend of mine and I served as the “on-site” managers for a crappy apartment building. There were a series of break in’s to cars in the garage (mine included)...
  15. Bronco6G members deliver Christmas cookies & cake to MAP employees! 🍪🎅

First I am hearing of this and I F’ing LOVE IT. So glad you guys did it.
  16. 📸 2022 Bronco Everglades spied in DESERT SAND paint!

I kept my original reservation 99’d in the hope that the heritage edition would give me the white roof I wanted from the begging and a cool retro color. And Dessert Sand is what they come up with? Any F’ing reason we can’t have something cool like boxwood green?
  17. The journey has come to an end

    I feel like I have waited 2 years for a 4 door :(
  18. The journey has come to an end

God I love the look of the 2door. Getting the 4door because it is more "practical" :(
