  1. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

Yes, they made manuals for the first several months of 2023, but then stopped until now. Factory transition to add the Ranger they said. Would have been a great time to do away with the Chinese MT and get a new one that is clean so people, like one poster, will not be on their third MT and still...
  2. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

Are they? I was not aware, but if so, I would very much like to know who makes the MT and if still Getrag, what was done to ensure problems do not re-occur with new Getrag MT as they often have been?
  3. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

Which, IMO, is why Ford is not making MTs in 2023 and perhaps ever for the Bronco (interestingly, Jeep has paused MT Wrangler production due to their own probs). I think this move to making Rangers in the same plant so Ford can't make MTs in 2023 is a smoke screen for the real reason they...
  4. @KermitBronco ULTIMATE Badlands Build

Wow! Whole rig is amazing. Who makes your dash rail/picatinny phone/tablet/GoPro, etc. mount and arms? I like the phone to the left of the steering wheel.
  5. Problem with auto-on headlights

Just bought a used BD. The base (non-Signature) LED headlights. As everyone knows there is a dial to the left of the steering wheel to set parking/auto-on/always on headlights. I have it set to auto-on and you get the amber light next to the switch turned to auto-on. This works just fine as I am...
  6. Used Bronco pricing seems to be dropping.......a little

JMO, but I think a significant majority of the off-roading done can be done with the base with open differentials. There's a guy on YouTube who put 35's on his non-SAS base doing some pretty serious stuff. The biggest prob I see for him is no skid plates.
  7. Sasquatch "Road Focused" Tire/Wheel Recommendations?

OP wanted a 285/75. What's the diameter on that Nitto? BL has 285/70 which is 32.8" while 285/75 is at 33.8" (for 17" rims). The SAS 315/70 is 34.3" even though Ford calls it 35" (So while not as wide, from the side a 285/75 is just half an inch less than the SAS in diameter). Since OP already...
  8. Used Bronco pricing seems to be dropping.......a little

Unless your are doing some pretty darn serious off-roading get the OBX and put 285/75 on it which is 34". Won't rub crash bars and a 1.5" lift will do it. That will look just fine and save $$$
  9. Used Bronco pricing seems to be dropping.......a little

I got my used BD with 10k miles on it for $500 below MSRP, plus I negotiated out of the $400 delivery/destination this reputable regional used car dealer charges so that was $1,800 savings there from new. Still have 14 months bumper-to-bumper left. Also, this Bronc was built 2 months after they...
  10. Used Value Dropping Fast

Yeah, leasing will keep you always having payments - plus interest. I see it making sense if you are very tight on cash flow, don't have significant down money and have something that you can trade that is about to fall apart but they will give you $2k down on the lease of an inexpensive car...

  12. Used Value Dropping Fast

Looking at your profile pic. 'Oh, this your wife, huh? A lovely lady. Hey baby, you must’ve been something before electricity.'
  13. Used Value Dropping Fast

I have a '22 I bought used about a month ago with 10k on it. I did save a bit buying used since I paid cash used and don't have these insane interest rates. I also know I still paid more than I would have in a year or two - maybe by quite a bit more. I don't care. I made a knowing choice knowing...
  14. Turn Off Road Hard Top - Self Installation & Review

Small amount of wind noise sounds great. I have nothing to compare it to myself other than MIC Broncos I test drove, but the wind noise on my 2-door MIC is what I would call moderate at speed. Not complaining as I knew what I was getting into with a removable hard-top, but if yours is quieter...
  15. Turn Off Road Hard Top - Self Installation & Review

Looks great! How is the wind noise at highway speeds? Have you been in a Bronco on a highway with OEM MIC so you can compare?
  16. Used Value Dropping Fast

If you have the cash with other savings to buy a new vehicle, it only makes sense as a depreciating asset - and especially if you can't write it of as a business expense. And it makes financial sense to hold a car until it goes out to pasture as opposed to buying new every year or three...
  17. Used Value Dropping Fast

The Jeep JL is purposely marketed at a ridiculous MSRP with huge profit margin built in because it was the only game in town. The Bronco should change that a little, but still only one competitor. This gives Jeep dealers the ability to offer steep discounts on the JL when the economy is bad and...
  18. What You Learn After Signing... mud flaps and power running board recommendations?

All I have to say is thank-you I have and only need a 2-door. It's the rear door and flare and rear handle that really get hammered. Try opening that rear door with the back flare and handle caked in muddy snow for kids/family/friends nicely dressed for a nice event. This is why I say for a...

He's not rock climbing in the Moab. Base model (now Big Bend) fine on non-paved roads.
