Iām 5300 miles in or so, and Iām definitely not a big fan of the fuel economy. Once the novelty wears off, I plan to use it mostly as a weekender and go back to my daily. Itās a Pontiac G8 with the 6 liter, but itāll get low to mid 20ās in mixed driving.
Not good either, but I did the planet...

This is an oversight by Ford to not consider mudflaps when designing these components.
I've not seen anything in my research to make me think Costo's oil is an inferior product. It's approved for the two standards you mentioned. Regarding oil change intervals, I may extend them a bit in the future, but I haven't decided. It's cheap insurance...
21195 is my Julian date. I've used regular fuel for the most part. Kirkland synthetic oil (Costco) for both oil changes. First oil filter was a WIX, 2nd (one I just installed) is a Motorcraft.
Itās been great so far. Zero issues after @flip the Ruxer techs sorted the dead camera module. Second oil change 10 miles or so ago. Waiting for the oil analysis results.
Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. My engine's build date is 7/15/2021, and I'm at 4,227 miles with no issues. Oil analysis at 1000 miles was clean, and I just sent off a sample from the oil change I did last night...
