  1. TrailRax Trail Sight Accessory Mount (TSAM)

I jury rigged my own trail sight NMO mount that’s significantly less polished than this and no whistle. I don’t think this will be a problem.
  2. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

A design change would result in a rolled part number for the engine assembly. There might be some containment action which involved additional quality checks on valves before the new design was introduced, but the design would be the same. Edit: Michigan assembly plant is getting entire engine...
  3. KR Off-Road Installation Instructions Suggestion

@zedster I don't really have a ton of pictures from the install process. You can see roughly where I tucked the lights. The middle one that is pointed way down is the fog lamp. I've driven around with it for a little bit and so far haven't gotten any high beam flashes from it. The aiming...

Actually OEs do buy the tools. One of the main reasons is if a supplier starts acting up they could go claw the tools back and have a different supplier manufacture it. This is especially easy with injection molded, cast, or stamped parts because there aren’t any exotic mfg processes involved...
  5. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

@Lucchese I also missed the 400 number? If it is indeed that high I agree NHTSA should be asking some tough questions to Ford here shortly.
  6. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

Standard Automotive temp range is usually -40° to 110° or 130° I would think the worst case would actually be in the cold condition when the elastomers are stiff and the plastic and aluminum are both shrunken down. Plus I think the fill level is below the joint where they meet, and there...
  7. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

It really is the ~~most responsible~~ cheapest way. Same reason they replaced the MIC at the assembly plant rather than in the field. Obviously it wasn’t that big of an issue with MIC1.0 because they stored them outside through several Michigan monsoons. My guess is Ford already knows 5-10% of...
  8. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

No problem. I've had this thread tagged and have actually at some point read all 150 pages, so it annoys the crap out of me so many people would just prefer to bury their heads. Even if Ford came out and said "At this time we have not noticed an abnormal failure rate with 2.7L engines" I would...
  9. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

Yes that is how theories work… But yea, the converse position is much more logical, Ford changed the valves and head assemblies for funsies and the three dozen known engine failures are unrelated.
  10. KR Off-Road Installation Instructions Suggestion

I just put my diode dynamics kit on last night, and I'm super impressed with the fit and finish of the brackets. The harness is great too. However, I would like to suggest if you easy access to a wall to align your lights, install them one by one starting from the middle and working out. Get...
  11. Cactus Gray Bronco Raptor Seen From All Angles

The little tacked on inner flap piece is a joke. First off it’s a different color, and on the front it doesn’t even protect the body side from rock shots. Look just above the side step, there is a little triangle of salt spray. I know first hand that also means there will be rocks pinging off...
  12. What are you guys paying for extended warranties?

@Jeffal did extraCare myself. Probably hosed if the Sync module dies, but most of the other stuff should be covered including front and rear diffs and T-case.
  13. 3rd Third Brake Light Removed & Relocated -- DIY How-To

Man I swear the eCFR website gets worse every time I use it. But yes, looks like the only requirement for rear high mount stop lamps is >=34” off the ground. There might be text that it has to be higher than the taillights but I don’t feel like fighting the mobile website to read it right...
  14. 4 Auto / Slippery Mode... not great?

So I took mine back out earlier, and still wants to push 9 times out of 10 without liberal application of the throttle. Slippery or normal mode. Stability control comes in hard and fast when I would intentionally come in a little hot (20mph lol) and lift off the gas. Roads are covered in the...
  15. Brake failure, AGAIN! Plus a plethora of other issues.

No brush guard wipes the 2.7L unfortunately.
  16. Brake failure, AGAIN! Plus a plethora of other issues.

I did notice it wouldn’t let me add paint pro film, but I was able to add leather and lux. Very strange.
  17. Brake failure, AGAIN! Plus a plethora of other issues.

I think that is just their build and price tool being weird. You might have to add Lux back in after adding the 2.7L https://shop.ford.com/configure/bronco/2022/config/summary/Config%5B%7CFord%7CBronco%7C2022%7C1%7C1.%7C334A.E5D..PKU..888.43L.4DR.55G.64X.99P.63C.LTV.%5D?gnav=header-suvs-bp
  18. Brake failure, AGAIN! Plus a plethora of other issues.

Just out of curiosity what FE content are you after than a Badlands Lux w/Sasquatch doesn’t have?
  19. Brake failure, AGAIN! Plus a plethora of other issues.

In an earlier post I thought you had come to terms with not getting another FE? And are they doing a buyback, or a replacement? Because if they agreed to do a buyback maybe just lean on them a little harder to get it done. Maybe talk to lawyer and ask if they could draft a letter saying you...
  20. 4 Auto / Slippery Mode... not great?

Sport mode, stability off, 2H is pretty wild in the snow. Not great for controlled drifting because like I mentioned some of the nannies are still active. But sport will keep the turbos spooled up, so with like 1/4 throttle you can just spin donuts to your heart's content.
