  1. 2021 Ford F-150 Owners Are Already Facing Rust, Corrosion Issues

You won't get this type of thread started by a mechanical engineer, or a mechanic for that matter. Maybe from a soccer mom, or people that seem to care more about nitpicking how the Bronco LOOKS for the past year. Or conjecture about how it WORKS, Rides, or feels, since nobody knew until rides...
  2. Modular Means Remove a damaged part - paint or replace

By the time my Bronco arrives (late avail) my 2002 F-150 will be 20 years old! I've driven it ROUGH these years, lots of high speed dirt roads, driving through rivers, scratches all over the sides that I just use a good cleaning wax on once every year or so. Sits outside in the driveway since...
  3. Paint protection film....worth it?

It's a modular truck. If your grill or fenders get faded or scratched, pull them off and repaint/replace. That will be cheaper if you can wait 8 or 10 years and accumulate a few scratches and rock dings, than buying a wrap...
  4. Modular Means Remove a damaged part - paint or replace

I thought of this the other day: As modular as the Bronco is, I can just remove a scratched fender, door, hood and get it repainted. You don't have to have a "body shop" paint anymore. You remove a fender or the grill, take it to an expert painting shop, take it back, install it on your truck...
  5. Official Factory PPF (paint protection film) accessory installation guide shows coverage areas

I thought of this the other day: As modular as the Bronco is, I can just remove a scratched fender, door, hood and get it repainted. You don't have to have a "body shop" paint anymore. You remove a fender, take it to an expert painting shop, take it back, install it on your truck. Any 4WD is...
  6. Look up your order details through the Ford.com website code.

I am starting to believe these codes show the initial build data, as well as a few other "current" things like if it's been ordered. My color is wrong, something I never chose. But I recall that color was the "default" when I started playing with the build and price tool. The color is not...
  7. 2.3 Ecoboost vs older V8s

On longevity, I'm worried about any high speed parts with bearings (read: turbos). BUT - worse case you do what? Buy a new turbo? Big deal.
  8. 2.3 Ecoboost vs older V8s

Horsepower is for highway speeds. In aerospace and racing they learn that overcoming wind resistance takes gobs of HP the faster you go. I compare a Bronco to my old 95 4Runner. It had about 150 HP and was fine for the roads of those times (65-70 speeds max). Today, most go 80 MPH around...
  9. 📈 Our 2021 Bronco Order Stats / Take Rates After 2K Submissions

I may be an outlier, but that's been my life. I wanted one cheap. My last vehicle I bought bare bones, no options other than the V8, towing package, and limited slip differential. It came with roll up windows, manual door locks, cloth seats, and basic radio and CD. This was a brand new Ford...
  10. 📈 Our 2021 Bronco Order Stats / Take Rates After 2K Submissions

I'm surprised my Big Bend choice isn't popular here. I was money motivated, wanted just the few things above base, including color. I saw on the other forum a thread about what people were paying, and was shocked. $50K - $70K seemed the most common. Since my original next vehicle was going...
  11. What # in line are you at your selected dealership?

I've just skimmed this thread, but did convert my order yesterday. I'm at a dealership that is allocated 64, and has 120 orders. I had moved my reservation from another small dealership. They only had like 20 allocated for FY21. That's another factor, if you have highly hyped dealership that...
  12. Can I get a 4.46 in 7speed with LOCKING Diff? Salesman confused

Can someone tell me what WBDO stands for? Disregard, I looked it up. Unlike many, I spend my time in about 5 hobby worlds. Hard to keep up with acronyms. But I finally got a good order "preview order" that is accurate, and will go in and watch them order my Bronco tomorrow. I asked the guy...
  13. Can I get a 4.46 in 7speed with LOCKING Diff? Salesman confused

I'm telling ya....this sales guy is clueless. VERY slow responding, confused on about every thing I have asked. I sent him a very clear build sheet 3 weeks ago, with the codes for everything (but the differential). Everything I learned here. He sent back (after a week) a 50% wrong dream...
  14. Can I get a 4.46 in 7speed with LOCKING Diff? Salesman confused

Thanks Apples, that's what I'm seeing too. The build website let me set that months ago. Just never got a code for the locking rear Diff. So I'm getting: 4 Door Big Bend 2.3L engine 7 speed manual 4.46 rear with Locking Diff "locking = closed" right? They show "open rear diff" on the dream...
  15. Can I get a 4.46 in 7speed with LOCKING Diff? Salesman confused

Apples, thanks for that reference. It was available and selected when I did the build and price. It appears it IS available. So I just have to educate the salesman!
  16. Can I get a 4.46 in 7speed with LOCKING Diff? Salesman confused

Thanks. Sorry I didn't mention, I'm getting the Big Bend
  17. Can I get a 4.46 in 7speed with LOCKING Diff? Salesman confused

I'm trying to convert my order today. I keep trying to get the salesman to give me the 4.46 with a LOCKING. He keeps printing out specs with a 4.46/Rear Axle-Open Differential. I CAN get locking differential on a 4.46 can't I? What is it's code so I can help him out? Sorry if this has been...
  18. Is it possible to get 4.27 drive ratio without locking rear differential?

I'm trying to convert my order today. I keep trying to get the salesman to give me the 4.46 with a LOCKING. He keeps printing out specs with a 4.46/Rear Axle-Open Differential. I can get locking on a 4.46 can't I? What is it's code so I can help him out?
  19. 2 Reservations Screwed - Unable to Order (Love the Bronco, but Ford seems incompetent)

I'm having the same problem in Arizona. 2 dealers basically not answering my emails, not available on the phone, not seeming interested in converting my order. Though one said it's MSRP or the highway. Still trying to get the other to return my emails and calls. Have not converted yet, but...
