I can say that southern states were a lot less mask-conscious than northern ones. I just drove down to Florida and back up to NJ.
Go down I-81 and from Penna on down people aren’t doing much to be safe. Go into bathrooms and gas stops and most folks, no masks.
Return on 95 and it’s better...
we are getting better -a Decent number of states are about 1/4 to 1/3 vaccinated
by summer we should be good. I hope. But I’m not a plague-ologist. What do I know?
Cargo space - can we get them to publish photos of standard size airplane luggage filling the space. Need to see - how do they fit lengthwise, stacked on top of each other, etc.
Airplane carry-on is a good model for the demonstration because they’re pretty standard in size.
Put Two big dudes in the 4 door at the same time. One in the front one in the back. Even better if you can find four big dudes.
take a million pictures and ask them about how much room they have.
The New Jersey would like to have a word with you.
For those who don’t know - the USS New Jersey is basically the most decorated battleship in the fleet’s history. With updates it saw action over about five decades.
theres nowhere you could do it in Jersey, not in the hills or “mountains”
you wouldn’t be able to find enough open space. What exists is probably protected watershed or already state or county parkland.
i usually don’t like the dismissive ness of the “Karen” talk ... buuuut that’s exactly what’s happening here.
I looked for Pomfret VT on Google maps. The vibrant city of Pomfret is an absolutely nowhere flyspeck of a place. There is absolutely nothing there.
The hell with that lady’s...
Well, I’m bummed out. That was by far the easiest for me to get to.
WVa would be OK.
I don’t really see TN or NC as north east locations but VT did lock it far away from anybody who’s South of Philly.
it’s a bigger country out there than many in the urban northeast realize, myself included. I...
Aktshuuuuullly - I totally agree with OP. Big Bend and Black Diamond were intentionally nerfed/hobbled/crippled/made less desirable by not being able to get nicer interior packages. I did not NEED the front locker and sway bar disconnect. But I did NEED (OK, "need") the nicer interior items...
If this is running in park, or just tooling around slowly, whether in the city or off road, then that number makes sense. My 6-cyl. Edge gets only about 16 MPG in the city. That stretches up to 24-26 on the highway.
Northern Woods are still pretty thin and brown for now. The deciduous trees are just now starting to pop in earnest. They could have gone to evergreen country but leafy scenes are only now coming online.
And - like the Rebels on Scarif - we are full of hope. Hope for a new and better future.
As one of those bigger and taller people I just hope that the light at the end of the tunnel is not a red lightsaber.
You, me, we all need a bunch of beers and some pineapple pizza.
I feel like the quality of posts is declining because we’ve already analyzed the thing to death. What we each still need to know we won’t know until we get our chance to actually sit our butts inside the vehicle and turn the key...
Those are City tires. Big metal rim, with less black rubber sidewall = city looking tires. Look at the rim to black rubber ratio on any tricked-out fartbox car that's blasting crappy rap music. You will see a huge shiny metal rim and about an inch of sidewall. They're very responsive for...
I just got a new MacBook. The old school big boy USB slot seems to be on the way out, in favor of the smaller USB-C, which is the same dimensions as a Thunderbolt plug. A Thunderbolt device works in a USB-C, but not vice-versa. Or at least that's my understanding.
What don't you like about the soft top? I don't like how they keep squishing the back windows - that would be damaging to the plastic, no? But the soft top itself - I really like it/them.
