I know, people are surprised that I’m out, and have asked to cancel my order. That’s me in the back seat of a badlands this week.
while I am certainly a well-fed fellow nowadays, my bones haven’t grown since I was in my teens. I’m sitting behind myself, as I had asked people to do in various...
pretty much
WW2 was in full swing on the ground for the USA by 1943
2021 - 1943 = 78. Close enough.
the Jeep Wrangler is clearly the descendant of vehicles used in WW2 made by Ford, Willys, etc.
So yep, 80 years old.
I'm likely to wind up in an Explorer or Aviator (same thing, but from Lincoln) before then. Perhaps a Lexus RX350. I'm going to check out Toyotas this weekend, and will also sit in some Subarus.
My wife, she wants a new car. Now that Bronco is off the menu (see my other recent posts), I need...
I did not have a Bronco growing up. They were on the street and I wiped enough of them as a car wash jockey in the early 90s.
if this thing is so much bigger then what did they do with the space? It’s not in the backseat legroom, that’s for damned sure. Is it in the hood? Front legroom...
this person is exactly right. There are some here who’ve been typing “it’s just like the original Bronco.” I’m 50 and grew up with Broncos on the street. This new One is a lot smaller than those. Ain’t nobody here who grew up with an original Bronco unless you’re 70 years old by now. In which...
Yep, that’s about right. Pull that soft top back like they designed it for the halfway config and you’ll be wearing it for a hat. 6-2 here.
also, imagine you’re driving along. Top is off. Look at your eyes. You’re looking at roll bar, not the great outdoors.
The stadium seating is a fail. Anybody tall will be looking at roll cage instead of the great outdoors. I was eye level with it in the back seat. That matters because my boy will be a 6-footer for sure.
The soft top was hanging on my head.
the back seat is for dogs and kids only. It won’t work...
Some good advice coming out. Here. I have some homework and visits in my near future
I think I will have to abandon my hopes of going crazy far afield until the munchkins are out of my back seat.
I really wish Ford still had lockers for an SUV. There is AWD but that’s not quite the same. All...
Today I visited the Bronco in person in New Jersey. I'm out. I know, I've been an active writer on this board, but the Bronco just does not fit my needs. There is zero hesitation to my decision. I'm out.
Impressions - I saw a 4 door Badlands, non-Squatch.
The back seat was indeed too...
Let’s call it the a Pennsylvania Pinstripe:)
I anticipate forest road camping in the Penna Wilds, which are freaking huge. Man, if only I appreciated back in college the kind of outdoors access that was available to me back when I had the time ...
Someone said that they’re avoiding metallic paint due to pin stripes. Is that true? Non metallic does better at hiding pinstripes?
I’ve Seen arguments againstrl really darl or light colors as to hiding dirt. True?
so are you all saying that cactus gray and Area 51 are good for practical...
Mud in the floors and trunk first. I hope to avoid pinstripes for now but there is monthly Boy Scout camping in my life for the next few years. Pinstripes are unavoidable in the east.
I never plan to bash it on rocks. It’s going to be our only car. The armor on the bottom is a just in case, not...
I went and did my homework. One of you said, "stop rejecting 3rd row out of hand." You were correct.
The physical dimensions of the Ford Explorer would work for me. It's a little bigger on the inside in all ways as compared to the Bronco 4-door. I'd leave the 3rd row folded and have a...
I give up - how can all you guys who seem to know a hella lot more than I do - COMPLETELY DISAGREE about these tires? This shit should be empirical. Either a tire is good in the rain or its not. It's quiet or it's not. It wears out quickly or it doesn't. It's winter rated or it's not. But...
A KN 95 mask should be a good combination of comfortable and breathable.A fishing buff should work in a pinch but is not preferable in areas where giardella may be common.
