The frame doesn't flex because it's old. It was engineered to do that. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

This above is what I was trying to convey. I'm not sure if there are more 'modes' to TC/SC other than on/off (and long press off) that you control with the button. @BigMeatsBronco brings up a good point about Slippery having a more aggressive mode that can not be activated with the TC button.

It might have been just the mirror. It was a while ago and I mostly remember being so put-off I had to remove it.

I had a dash cam mounted there for a couple days and it partially blocked the light sensor on the back of the mirror. I think it made the mirror go in and out of night mode along with dimming the displays. It was very distracting so I removed the dash cam.
