  1. Badlands to Heritage Grille Swap -- part number, purchasing, painting, installing

This is almost exactly what I want to do, it looks fantastic!
  2. Well guys… I sold the bronco

My boss has had a Wagoner for almost 2 years and she loves it, it has had zero issues also. Super smooth to drive. Congratulations and enjoy!
  3. Show Us Your Reverse / Rear Chase Lights!

The carrier is aluminum with a plastic shell. So no, drilled and bolted.
  4. Frozen Alaskan lake, 82 MPH, ice race track

The only option for a Sasquatch, Hakkapeliitta LT2 (new version is LT3) in 315/70R17. Fantastic snow tire! Not trying to toot my own horn, but im pretty good normally. They had JUST plowed the track for races the next day, so it was fresh smooth ice with basically zero traction. It gets much...
  5. Show Us Your Reverse / Rear Chase Lights!

No, only on aux 3 when needed.
  6. Show Us Your Reverse / Rear Chase Lights!

Haha, whatever man. They work fantastic. Also what dumbass stops for some dumber-ass who gets out of their vehicle. Additionally, AK doesn't require a carry license. Happy motoring!
  7. Let's see some group photos, no pavement allowed.

    Hatcher pass, AK.
  8. Show Us Your Reverse / Rear Chase Lights!

I have a couple Morimoto 4bangers in my spare connected to AUX 3 switch. Work well for seeing behind me, and people who don't shut their high beams off.
  9. Must slow down to 3mph for 4 High

3rd Alaskan winter with my Bronco, but it goes into 4A in October and I switch between 4auto and 4H until April when it sees 2wd again is probably why I've never experienced it.
  10. Frozen Alaskan lake, 82 MPH, ice race track

Couple weekends back I spent some time playing around on Big Lake, Alaska with the Bronco. They had just plowed the race track for races the next day, so it was fresh untouched ice. Even my Studded Nokian Hakkapeliittas were fighting for grip in the corners. On the straights I had a lot of fun...
  11. Winter weather driving

Whatever you say mister "I'm a certified mechanic, so I know all about everything" you do you, I'll do me. I'm saying people freak out about driveline bind, you would be AMAZED at what stress they will take. Sit in any treated parking lot here, you'll see hundreds of pickups and SUVs locked in...
  12. Winter weather driving

It's funny hearing lower 48 people's opinions of when to use 4x4. Our roads aren't salted, so what looks like pavement is actually ice. 6 months of the year I'm in 4H or 4A and run studded a snow tires. You can run 100 mph in 4H it won't hurt a thing, just don't turn sharp on dry pavement. Ran...
  13. Reliability & overall quality?

I'm pretty ecstatic with my '21 2.7 4dr hard top still after over 2 years and 14k miles. I'm not sure if my expectations were low, or I just love it so much but I have basically zero things I bitch about. I've only had it in for one real repair, a leaking valve cover gasket. Otherwise a glitch...
  14. Just another reason for additional driving lights... headlights covered in snow / ice

It really depends on the snow type. 3 winters in Alaska and I've only had them get covered once, this past September during a early snow that was wet. Otherwise we have pretty dry snow that doesn't stick.
  15. Anyone else use their Bronco as an ATV?

Yup in Alaska, I find the sxs to be the most useful year round. I've never been a big snowmachine (snowmobile as you guys in the lower 48 call it) guy. I don't worry about scratching, denting or rolling over the sxs lol.
  16. Surprise, New Top

They are so hit and miss. My over 2 year old top has been great. (Knock on wood).
  17. Two Sets of Rims and Tires or Not?

I was riding with my boss last Friday when I took that from the passenger side, looking into the right side mirror. It was sunny behind us with a nice alpenglow on the mountains, with dense ice fog in front of us...pretty trippy.
  18. Two Sets of Rims and Tires or Not?

Got plenty of it, over a whole seasons worth already. Idk where we're going to stack the rest we get in the next 4 months 🙄
