  1. 74Weld billet steering rack is ready!

Yeah between the bumpers and the rack I’m able to wheel a lot harder than expected. We’re still dialing in the Fox coilovers since they were pre-production builds and not really set up right from the factory. Once we get that sorted out and add the portals soon, it will be pretty rad. They...
  2. 74Weld billet steering rack is ready!

Can’t say for sure how many they have on hand.
  3. 74Weld billet steering rack is ready!

It’ll be around $5kish for the turnkey install with brand new Hoss 3.0 internals.
  4. 74Weld billet steering rack is ready!

I will note that I believe at some point they will have a way to use your Hoss 3, should you already have it. Don’t ask me what the difference would be but I’m sure they’ll determine that soon.
  5. 74Weld billet steering rack is ready!

We designed and built out bumpers all in-house. The rear is a frame chop and then we built a new crossmember with body mounts. We still need to add the gusset on the body mount lol. The bumper you see bolts the rear crossmember so we can build almost anything for the back and it’ll bolt right...
  6. 74Weld billet steering rack is ready!

As everyone expected, expect to pay somewhere around $5k installed give or take. For right now we expect it to be about 3 hours labor plus and alignment. We’ll program it for free at our shop. Fit isn’t an issue. We also prefer to pull the diff when we install it. It’s really not much more work...
  7. 74Weld billet steering rack is ready!

Lol, yes we did! That’s the luxury of having your own machine shop!
  8. 74Weld billet steering rack is ready!

The True Fix for Ford Bronco Weak Steering Well, after a couple of revisions I can safely say this rack is capable and bad ass! I’ve taken it out a few times and beat the rack pretty hard with every intention of breaking something. I had it bound up extremely hard quite a few times and had...
  9. Another Bronco w/ Broken Tie Rod stranded and recovered

Lol well I typically don’t invite anyone along on a trial by fire of a prototype. Nothing to hide it’s just that people don’t understand the process and that if there’s a failure during R&D it’s not really a failure. I think most people will be just fine with the Hoss 3 and the FP tie rods. I...
  10. Another Bronco w/ Broken Tie Rod stranded and recovered

If you’re going to spend the money on trying to beef up the tie rods, I highly recommend you replace it entirely with something like Icon or SteerSmarts. I’m running the Icons now and they’re worth every penny.
  11. Another Bronco w/ Broken Tie Rod stranded and recovered

I wheeled a prototype yesterday at Wolf Caves with the intention of breaking it and it never happened. Icon tie rods as well. After a couple of tweaks (that have nothing to do with performance) I think it’ll be ready to go. I definitely was not kind to the Bronco yesterday and the steering was...
  12. Rack-Hack. HOSS 3.0 severe duty STEERING RACK and TIE RODS ...Ford Performance M-3200-WT

From the man himself: “We are leaning on going to an oil impregnated bronze bushing for both sides. This a wear item that honestly isn’t going to wear due to a solid rod sliding through it in a sealed greased application. The pinion side of the factory rack is a plain bearing which is by nature...
  13. Rack-Hack. HOSS 3.0 severe duty STEERING RACK and TIE RODS ...Ford Performance M-3200-WT

I can definitely vouch for the quality. We’re helping with the R&D on this project and we’ve opened them up to make a few tweaks here and there for them. Extremely solid. I’m also using the icon tie rods which are even bigger than the FP tie rods that came with it. I have no doubt we’ll be able...
  14. Rack-Hack. HOSS 3.0 severe duty STEERING RACK and TIE RODS ...Ford Performance M-3200-WT

Yeah that makes sense too. I mean if you’re spending the time and money to replace an already failed unit then you might as well upgrade. We’re testing a billet rack from 74Weld right now and we used a lot of information from this thread and one of the members. Hoping to put it in the rocks this...
  15. Rack-Hack. HOSS 3.0 severe duty STEERING RACK and TIE RODS ...Ford Performance M-3200-WT

If you’re not wheeling it, I wouldn’t worry about it. You’ll be just fine. This mod is purely to make off-roading more reliable and easier.
  16. Paxpower will engine swap Coyote V8 into new 2021 Bronco for $30k

I did have low expectations. Go drive a brand new Jeep Wrangler with the 3.6 in it and you’ll see how good the 2.3 is.
  17. Paxpower will engine swap Coyote V8 into new 2021 Bronco for $30k

Normally I would agree with you in this but I have to be practical. I swap V8’s into Jeeps every single day at our shop and it makes sense. The Jeep stock 3.6 just absolutely sucks. However I just picked up my 4 door Bronco with a 2.3 auto and I’m blown away with this thing in sport mode. So...
  18. The Parts Room Bronco Review

We started a new podcast that is available on Spotify WITH video and eventually on Apple if they ever approve it. Anyways, our fist episode was a review of the Bronco with Tony Payne who just jumper from his Jeep Wranger to his FE Bronco. Check it out. I’m sure we suck since it’s our first...
