Looks that way. Was hoping they’d be here sooner but for the rack that includes internals, June 1 it is. If that’s too long of a lead time let me know and I can take care of it. If it’s just a blank housing because you already have a Hoss 3.0, probably sooner.
Yes, and I’m pretty sure there will be an option for those that want a replacement housing. It’s been discussed already. However, you will still need to have the internals swapped over by a competent technician and that will be at the discretion of 74Weld. These racks have some sensitive parts...
If you go back and read all the comments you’ll see that this has already been discussed lol. Some good information to be found by reading through the thread.
Gotcha. All you need is the housing which is $3k and then we move your parts over. This will only be allowed to be done by authorized dealer/installers.
Correct. We just built them and haven’t gone through all the cost analysis to put them on there with a price. Keep in mind we are not a large scale manufacturer producing products for distribution. We’re an off-road shop with the capabilities to fabricate some really cool stuff. We can totally...
Hopefully be testing the portals soon. I think they’ll eventually be plans for a cast and as well as billet options. Look for those to be around sometime during the summer.
I can see it. I’m fairly certain there will be a housing made for the 2.0 that we can just transfer the internals over to. For some people this will be the peace of mind they are looking for and possibly save them a couple thousand.
Talking with them about this and it is very possible this will be an option, but there’s a catch. Due to the sensitivity of the racks electronics and procedure to disassemble/assemble, the conversion will only be done by qualified dealers. You’ll still have to pay some labor but it’ll be...
Yeah it bent the body underneath where it mounts. Nothing crazy and didn’t really effect anything other than the slider bent up. Frame mount is for sure better.
The entire housing was redesigned for rigidity and better material overall. The oil impregnated bronze bushings for example. Remember that the standard rack was designed and built for mass production and is still ok for probably 90% of the owners out there. For the 10% that are actually going to...
