  1. MIC Noise Reduction Guide - wind sound- aka more (or less) cowbell please

I bought 100ml Kilmat on Amazon. Measured out the cargo area. cut for the grommets and tie downs. Whole thing took less than 2 hours. Went for a test drive. Definitely an improvemnt with respect to tire noise. Those 35's scream over 65mph. Thanks to everyone for pushing me to...
  2. [How-To] FORScan Audio/Speaker Mods

14F1 needs to be either 2AF1 (Sp, TW, Sub) or 02F1 (Sp/Sub). I'm assuming your sub is pulling its signal from the ACM, so you need to use Forscan to activate it. You also want 727-01-02 to be "00"...turns off the high pass filter in the pods. Ford's EQ setting sucks. EQ Settings - ACM...
  3. MIC Noise Reduction Guide - wind sound- aka more (or less) cowbell please

Where did you lay it? I'm running on a Sasquatch package. Those tires SCREAM on the highway. Will covering the cargo area with Kilmat reduce that noise?
  4. MIC Noise Reduction Guide - wind sound- aka more (or less) cowbell please

I don't know if it makes a difference, but the Dynamat product (forgetting the custom cut stuff) is a heavier and higher quality sound deadening solution than the Kilmat? Does it result in a noticeable improvement in the noise reduction?
  5. MIC Noise Reduction Guide - wind sound- aka more (or less) cowbell please

I have a 4 door BadSas. Anyone have any experience with using Dynamat on the cargo floor to reduce the road noise from the crazy tires? I don't want to go the full @1Five1 Garage route of the entire truck, but I'm hoping I'll get positive feedback on the results of just doing the cargo floor...
  6. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

Yes, all around, not just the dash. Going to 00 resulted in a more balanced, natural sound. I suspect (totally conjecture on my part) that the 01 EQ setting is Ford’s way to compensate for terrible speaker quality with limited dynamic range by emphasizing the highs. Hence, running higher quality...
  7. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

Continuing from this thread... https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/2023my-standard-audio-6-speaker-subwoofer-delete-mandatory-and-functional-amps-removed.61106/post-1924806 After driving around with the Polks for a couple days, the sound is magnitudes cleaner and fuller, but still a bit too...
  8. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

I realize there have been a variety of posts speaking to the impact of the Speaker, Speaker/Tweeter and Tweeter choices for the front and back speakers. Can we revisit this for a moment? I still haven't discovered an explanation that explains in simple language what changes each of these...
  9. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

Dynamat in the sub enclosure and the Manett pods. None anywhere else.
  10. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

Put the 6.5 and 4” Polk audios in the dash and pods, replacing the Kickers. The Polks are a much better sound. Better balanced, fuller, clearer. This is my final setup and it sounds great… Dash-4” Polk audio…600hz bass blockers Kick panels/ stock Rear pods- Mabett enclosures with 6.5” Polk...
  11. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

Read the threads and watch the videos. I was a total newbie coming into this… @RagnarKon and @1Five1 Garage videos took me from terrified to wrenching with the pros(slight over the top there). Once you get into it, you will get comfortable. This is an iterative process, so getting comfortable...
  12. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

Is the difference between the 6.75 and the 8 significant enough to invest the effort? I'm about to install the Polk Audio 6.75 in the pods and the 4" in the dash. I'm hoping that will round out the sound enough without having to go for the extra bottom end.
  13. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

@RagnarKon @JimV Anyone know the specs of the Fusion amp we ll seem to be using to power the sub?
  14. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

What did you do about the enclosure to get it to fit? Are you powering that with the Fusion amp?
  15. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

Subwoofer question...will the stock sub enclosure that comes with the base audio system with the dummy amp and sub accept an 8" sub without modification? I currently have a 6.75 4ohm kicker in there. Now that I have 6.75" rear pods, I feel like some additional low end bass will nicely round out...
  16. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

I went with kicker 4” fronts and 6.75 pods. Too bright! Crutchfield recommended Polk Audio for a softer, fuller more comprehensive sound. Putting them in this week. The reviews are promising. Stay tuned.
