I hope so! If TOR can get those rolled out in the April/May timeframe that they indicated previously, they'll get ALL of that business (although I understand it's a bit of a niche segment).
Love it - but you bring up a great point. I was also planning to get those bolts - does the top come with standard bolts or do you NEED to have your own?
Great looking Bronco with a great looking top.
I saw a documentary once where a FedEx employee looked after a package for four years on a deserted Pacific island and successfully delivered it to the Texas Panhandle. This seems to pale in comparison.
Outstanding. One step closer to a homemade Heritage edition (but not "homemade" as in building the entire thing from scratch in my driveway, thankfully).
I have to admit, my stomach sank a little when the new announcements hit last week right after I canceled. Then I saw the details about the assembly (which at least now explains the $500 cost to do it on-site), and I felt pretty good again. For some folks with the time and skill, it could be a...
So I finally bailed today, and had the same experience as some of the others who have gotten refunds lately - no questions asked, very courteous and efficient. In fact, the refund has already gone through via ACH.
I tend to agree with the theory that they have plenty of other, likely more...
Forgot you did that too! That is so great. I'm ready to pull the plug as soon as Turn is able to get some specificity on white top availability, but still keeping options open as frustrating as it has been.
Great job Tommy. Questions on the in-person install - I see you drove up alone in your soft top. Did they help you remove and stow it? And was the installation extra?
A competitor requires all soft top hardware to be removed and charges a fee for install. I'd like to turn this into an excuse...
I meant to say they said they said they would be delivering Batch 1 from mid-Jan to mid-Feb, you are right they said originally that would START in mid-Jan, and that does appear to have slipped.
At least it looks fairly clear one or both will be delivering white tops in the spring (sometime)...
I think they said they'd start going out in mid-Jan through mid-Feb, but yeah, if they're already pushing it back to "late Jan", it does imply it could delay Batch 2.
Yeah, if the Batch 1 group gets delayed (or certainly my Batch 2), that probably will be it, even without a firm date for TOR's "white top group" beyond an estimate of roughly March/April. A firmer date from TOR on the white tops might seal the deal regardless, but if they knew it I'm confident...
I'm basically gonna take the first white top that I can get, likely from one of these two providers. It'll be ADV if they stay on their timetable, but could be Turn if it goes anything beyond that (they've said roughly March-April for white tops). And I'm still watching Armadillo, whose tops...
Selling a set of five non-SAS stock Badlands wheels with about 7,500 miles on them. I have inspected them closely and do not see any scratches or other damage. No tires or TPMS included, just the wheels (in boxes).
Only available as a set - asking $250 OBO. Can deliver to anywhere in the...
Definitely occurred to me. If Turn's scheduling reliability was pretty solid at that point, I would probably wait. But after waiting 35 months for the Bronco and then this, the bird in the hand might be worth more.
