I believe it was more of a "WTF! Ford actually built a Bronco so there will be competition in the segment! Throw in a V8 now!" I also think manufacturers pre plan for these types of events in case they are needed. Like for example, Ram will put the HEMI in the new 1500 that was "never...
Because every engine swap I've seen loses ESC.
ABS may be tied to ESC but only controls the brakes, it doesn't throttle down the engine or cuts timing like ESC and TC do.
Any videos of the dash with the engine running? I would be really surprised if the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is still functional. Would also like to see some performance numbers.
You were the one that brought the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) as the reason, which is all about the numbers, then contradicted yourself several times and now talking about numbers vs driving the vehicle. I'm not even going to call the conversation stupid, but...
Not saying you are wrong, what you stated is true, a smaller vehicle with a bigger wheelbase will have a bigger CAFE impact than a larger vehicle with a smaller engine.
The reason Ford basically eliminated the 2 door V6 seems like marketing/Farley bullshit that immediately dismisses itself with...
Ford: What can we do to improve the Bronco?
Designers: How about we stop making it look like a Bronco?
Ford: godamit, I thought your idea of removing the V6 from the base model and eliminating 2 door options couldn't be topped... you guys are genius... Sold!
This would be up to you personally. I am done with manual transmissions for now, they don't offer anything over the auto, even losing the remote start would be a huge pain in the ass as I use it every day.
People do a lot of unnecessary things when it comes to oil changes, I do mine every 3k miles, I use synthetic oil, and I prime the engine before starting it. Is any of this necessary? No, will I stop doing it, also no.
Extractor, not one drop spilled and can all be done from the top (2.7L experience).
This is how much leftover oil dripped after I removed the drain plug... (3k miles oil change, full synthetic Pennzoil Platinum)
