I honestly never thought we would get this much seat time. I was able to be the lead car for the entire day so had the chance to push it pretty hard with a clear path. My car will never experience what we put these cars through today so being able to appreciate the Braptor capabilities like this...
Are you seriously comparing a Braptor to a Honda Accord to justify why it’s so expensive? Lol. The Braptor is clearly not for the typical Bronco or Ford demographic. A Ford GT sells for $1m. How does that compare to the Accord?
Things are worth what the market is willing to pay for them...
If you step back a bit you will see that many manufacturers are doing the same thing. Dealers have been milking the current market and charging ADM’s on almost anything they can. Whatever Ford has tried to stop this clearly hasn’t worked and yet people are still buying them and they’re still...
And crazier that it really hasn’t stopped making it near impossible to get. A fair ADM on a 2022 still gets you a Braptor that’s less than a comparable 2023 at current MSRP.
Also there are many way to get around sales tax. Buy it, drive it and you can still sell it and worst case break even.
Reminds me of when my little one colors a picture all one color crayon. I dig the flares and mirrors (nobody mentioned the mirrors) and that’s where I would have stopped.
Anyone who knows anything about dealer allocations can you tell you that’s a flat out lie and not how it works nor how you get more allocation. Again, more reasons why dealerships from a sale transaction standpoint need to go away. Pure greed.
I’m not concerned about rocks chips. PPF is not going to protect painted plastic when it’s flexing while off-roading. Paint can crack when it flexes. Also if you’ve driven a Raptor those fenders are wide and you can’t exactly see them. You’re going to hit something eventually.
So you painted the flares and then matte wrapped them? Looks nice but ballsy. Those flares are going to take a beating. Will be curious to see how they hold up.
Find someone with a $400,000 4x4 squared who is willing to get a little dirt on their car and make your own video comparo. You may have to venture out to the UAE for this one. My money is on the G, but I would (and did) take my Braptor over a G any day.
I’ve spent a lot of time on the tuning side of German cars and dealing with Magnusson Moss - the law protects consumers so it does put the onus on the dealer in many cases to prove the mod directly caused the failure. I can tell you without hesitation that it’s all based on the dealer and the...
