I bet fuel economy standards are one reason we don't get the Everest. Being body on frame, it would likely be less efficient than the Explorer. It's interesting though. If it were for sale, I wouldn't drop the Bronco for it. I could see it being a replacement for our Grand Cherokee.
Point taken. They are Bridgestone "all terrain" tires, but can see why those may not be the ones you want. The Big Bend was on my list at one time. I was thinking about a nice daily, 2 door, with the 2.3 and the manual. And I could buy up to the rear locker which you couldn't do on the base...
You do get the alloy wheels and better tires. So, if you like those, there's some solace. But, yeah, in general, it was always hard to justify the Big Bend. Especially if you were going Sasquatch anyway. Oh, don't forget one more GOAT mode!!! Woo hoo!
I'm guessing the profit thing. Some manufacturers have limited production on lower trims seemingly trying to increase profits given commodity restraints. For example, I think Honda stopped making base model Civics for the year.
Yeah, I too am a Granger Reservation holder from late October. I can't believe I finally got scheduled. I changed from a Base Sasquatch to a Badlands when Ford said they may be limited on Sasquatch.
I think you made a good call given you didn't already have a reservation. The order bank opening looks like it could be a mess. And getting this sweet ride at MSRP is probably a really good deal right now.
Yes, thanks for posting so we can see what you did.
I understand form other posts, there could be some kind of resistor in place of the seatbelts. If that could be done cheaply, then it would eliminate the need to remove the buckles from the seats and also make it easier to put them back. Not...
Cool, so you're essentially running Badlands tires. I think the 2 doors look pretty good with 33's. The 35's help the stance of the 4 door in my view with the longer wheelbase. The 4 door can look a little station wagony with smaller tires. Looking forward to getting my Badlands and see how...
