Thanks for the Monkey Bidness tip - just ordered the limiter and strut. I’ve blown off the plastic ends of the stock tailgate strut at least 1/2 a dozen times.

That was a symptom for me about 2-3 weeks before my battery went bad. You getting “entering battery saver mode” type alerts? If/when you do, get it replaced.

I did the same - the extra room in the DV8 box is nice.
