  1. Side Steps for Rock Rails - recommendations?

I have the IAG. After nearly 3 years I still love them. I got 2 pair for my 4 door: 2“ drop for front doors / every day, 0” drop for rear doors. For 80% of wheeling I leave them on and it they never touch. For the next 10% I remove the 2” drop pair, & move the 0” drop to the front. For the...
  2. 2.3L intercooler off roading - SPAL Fan

    Pics when you’re done, please!
  3. 2.3L intercooler off roading - SPAL Fan

@Q1svt you mentioned sand. I have experience with that through the years and I’d say YES ADD ALL THE COOLING FANS YOU CAN! Powering through sand - especially on hot days - heat soaks everything under hood hard & fast. And try to make them automatic thermostat controlled.
  4. Softest ride?

@AccuTune Offroad , pardon me but the OP is asking for the softest off road ride. Stiffening up for off road is the opposite of his desire - mine too. Maybe Shock Warehouse would be a better service provider.
  5. Streaming Sirius app on Bronco

You asked earlier how mine sounds. I‘m probably not the audiophile that you are - I think the B&O is pretty good and doesn’t need upgrades - however I must point out that SiriusXM uses “lossy“ compression. They even compress some channels more than others based on market share, etc. Also...
  6. Streaming Sirius app on Bronco

Using an iPhone? Install the SiriusXM app, make sure your phone is paired with your Bronco, enable Apple CarPlay, and go! You can then use either the iPhone or the CarPlay screen to control SiriusXM app.
  7. Dealership saying I need a new engine at 77k miles

I also noticed that. Something is fishy.
  8. Dealership saying I need a new engine at 77k miles

Exactly. I saw this when the OP first posted — got on today to see if there were updates. None.. The silence is deafening.
  9. Winch fuse size

I’ve never used a fuse for Warn winches. But if they specify one in the installation instructions then go with that.
  10. 2.3L 7sp badlands engine stopped on freeway

Time to educate yourself on electric fuel pumps mounted in the tank. Short version: running low on gas contributes to shorter pump life.
  11. Tune for towing a camper trailer

Heat is your primary concern. For that, your bumper & winch are blocking some of the most critical areas (others like @flip can direct you to the relevant document). Your secondary concern is cooking your catalytic converters; any tune except Ford tune runs the risk of interfering with Ford’s...
  12. Skid Plate Recommendation

I got the whole set. Installed myself except for help of 1 person when I did the gas tank - and that was mostly to help ensure I didn’t drop it and rip all those wires & hoses out. BTW it also works perfectly with Roadmaster towing brackets if you flat tow.
  13. Skid Plate Recommendation

@Returntothefog - I also am concerned about weight. I installed aluminum skid plates from RCI. I have been extremely pleased with them. https://rcimetalworks.com/product-category/all-skid-plates/bronco-skid-plates/2021-2023-bronco-skid-plates/
  14. What is your favorite part of your Bronco?

Flat towing it behind our RV!
  15. GOAT Modes Too Aggressive?!..

To be clear, I never had a failure or error code or bad behavior - I just thought “Smells like the brakes are getting hot. Let’s try this with gearing instead of Crawl Control (which probably uses the brakes).” Overheated the GOAT modes? That’s a new one on me. @Canyon Coolers Was there a...
  16. GOAT Modes Too Aggressive?!..

@Karsa we’ve been to Banff & Jasper and they are amazing! Just in a rental car though. Hopefully soon with our Bronco. Would love tips on where to camp & what to see & do.
  17. GOAT Modes Too Aggressive?!..

I‘ll add this - since it looks like you are blessed to live near big steep mountains. … I came down a long steep 4WD-only mountain pass (some call it a J**p road but not me) - over miles of steep downhill rock crawling from 3,600 meters (11,700 ft) downhill to 2,600 meters (8,600 ft) using...
  18. GOAT Modes Too Aggressive?!..

Generally I agree. However I was recently in a long deep squirrelly mud situation when I noticed the traction control seemed to be throttling back just when I really need to spin & sling to get outta there. So between mud holes I hit GOAT mode Mud & Ruts and I could tell that it definitely...
  19. Rim break in a Badlands

Ummmm… i see the circle. I also see it looks like you dove headlong into a gravel pit and stood on the gas until something exciting happened.
  20. Rim break in a Badlands

I’ve wheeled my Bronco in some pretty substantial rock gardens and have yet to crack or damage the original Ford rims. Of course, I refrain from actions preceded by the phrase “Watch this!”
