  1. Less that 5,000 miles and my hardtop is already failing

I've been so conflicted with this. I'll hit 36k in about 500 miles. I have been overall happy with my top in the lad 2 years of ownership. No leaks, no whistling, good fitment, none of the wavyness or honeycomb crap. I was worried a replacement could be worse! These cracks only seem to be...
  2. HVAC Vent Whistle

So I'm just going to add this for fun but.... I had a whistling noise seemingly coming from somewhere in the HVAC system. I can't remember anymore if it came and went with speed (I don't think it did) or if it came and went with fan speed (I think it was this) Anyway, turns out my wife used the...

Nice. That is the one thing that holds me back sometimes. 99% of the time, I go by myself or with the family. Last thing I need is to get us stuck lol. The Bronco is technically my wife's vehicle. And she doesn't want a winch hanging off the front, so I was looking at the hidden solutions...

  5. Look at the picture - part missing in the back of the Outerbanks cargo area?

I knew your username was familiar. I don't post a lot but I remember you from the MK7 forum.

  7. For The Record - OBX Journal

Not much to report other than today being the 2 year anniversary of taking delivery. No major issues and about to hit 34,000 miles. Obligatory Christmas tree hauling vehicle picture:
  8. 30K Maintenance

I didn't change any fluids but did do cabin filter in addition to engine air. So, oil change, those 2 filters, and rotation. That was it.
  9. Official: Scout EV SUV & Pickup debut w/ Gas Range Extender, 4x4, BOF, Lockers, Sway Bar Disconnect -- All Specs, Wallpapers, Videos

Oil "loss" in rotary engines is intentional, or rather in their design. *Former RX-8 owner here...
  10. Official: Scout EV SUV & Pickup debut w/ Gas Range Extender, 4x4, BOF, Lockers, Sway Bar Disconnect -- All Specs, Wallpapers, Videos

As another Floridian, I can verify this. Hell, even my neighbors battery blower caught fire.... Edit since I forgot I had this… Here is a picture of one I took myself down the street from me.

Probably want that sweet, sweet reservation money.

High ground clearance saves the day! honestly had a few more inches before catastrophe…but still pretty intense watching the water rise not knowing when it would stop.

  14. For The Record - OBX Journal

Man it has been way too long! My last little outing got canceled (by me) due to weather. We've also been staying very busy with the house. So there has not been a whole lot of free time. So our dirt back yard has been the most dirt the Bronco has seen in MONTHS! I do know we are going to...

Richloam and Citrus are good options too. But I'd agree that Croom is probably the best for the first time out.
  16. Are these the dreaded hard top cracks?

Good to know...I guess lol. Sucks to have to deal with it but good to know I can potentially get it swapped out. But like you, I'm just worried a replacement could end up worse... Guess that's the gamble! 🤷‍♂️
  17. Are these the dreaded hard top cracks?

I've been keeping an eye on mine. Noticed some about a year into ownership (about a year ago) I definitely have a few areas of concern. But all of these seem purely cosmetic. So because of that, I'm not necessarily in a hurry to do anything about it. I have around 10,000 miles left before...

  19. Squeaks in the back

Yeah as others have said just lube it all up. Mine was coming primarily from there the lower portion of the glass meets the upper portion of the tailgate. It still comes and goes. For me, just KNOWING where a squeak/rattle is ACTUALLY coming from solves half my problem lol. Once I know what...
