You must explain to me how you got the paint to stick on the fender flares, which look like the stock Ford black plastic flares. Ford won't paint them, Jeep won't do it, and I have been to every shop in town and every one of them assures me the paint will "sweat", blister and crack on the...
My boy looooooved to ride with me, and stick his head out of the window even when it was minus fk-this-sht-cold outside. And with that great 1980 heater, it was always freezing. But he was happy. So when I got mine, he got the first ride.
This guy makes physics, engineering, and chemistry, very easy to understand. Impressed. As for mine, I never notice this "rev hang". It shifts as nice as I want it to, or not. And I am sooooo happy I got a stick - this Bronco wouldn't be half the fun it is with an auto. Just saying.
Top Removal
Hey, Eryn:
I called you guys today to talk about exactly this - removal of the top for winter. Seems like there is no video of this. You really should make one, and soon. I don't want to take it back to Ford.
That said, I am told these tops are tough. I hope so because it gets...
Okay, seriously. I've looked into this and can't find anything. My Badlands Bronco is a little jacked (4" lift on 35s") with the Bestop top.
To open it I have to stand on the door sills to flip it open. But closing it, I literally have to take a running leap to get on the back bumper to push it...
I just got my Badlands Bronco and because of the setup I want to run, I could not use the stock wheels and tires. I might use them for winter but if anyone is interested they are for sale. The wheels were taken off upon delivery, so they are in 100% perfect shape. No wheel nuts.
They are five...
Yes and No. The leather in my older convertible Mustang, for example, driven only in the summer, is guaranteed to crack in 5 years. It's in the owner's manual - somewhere towards the back. I had a Lincoln I traded in on this Bronco... 10 years going on, zero issues. So nice. These seats...
My wheels are American Racing. Outlaw II. Didn't want painted and chrome is too much for this vehicle I think. Machined never fails. +18mm offset so I went with SAS flares and the 315s and they are just perfect. So close to flush you can't tell.
Have another pic.
Are you running 12.5s? I want the flares to (generally) cover the tire given the offset. My wheels have an 18 offset, which I assume yours does too?
Yours line up from what I can see. Is the angle misleading? The wheels look like 12.5. The angle mjust make them look like they cover but they...
I guess I'm finally going to get my Bronco in a few days. Yea for me.
I wanted to have the flares painted - as some have done here, apparently - and when I took it to Ford, the body shop manager (40 years repairing Fords) said, No way, ain't gonna do it.
Why?
Here's the deal: he said even if...
Guys, I need to know ASAP please the bore on the Badlands standard wheels (though I suspect they're all the same). That's all, just the bore size on the standard wheel so I know what wheels will fit/mount on this vehicle.
Thank you!!!!
If you want the backstory, here it is:
I ordered some...
I am sooo impressed. As soon as I get mine, at least 3 wheels are going in the air, too! That's what I am buying this thing for. Way to go bro. Can I ask where this is, just in case one day I ever venture there.... Awesome.
Ford is painting my flares.
Here is something I have never seen mentioned.
In talking with Ford they said the flares are not meant to be painted, and are removable, thus they are a weaker/thinner plastic because of it. Because this truck/tires/whatever fires rocks like missiles (as you might...
Sorry, my bad. Yes, 2.3 stick. It's funny, they used that wax crayon to draw a shift pattern on the driver's window, and the word stick. That's the best theft-detternt I can think of!
