I don't think they are "true" rain sensing wipers. I read something about them being a "smart wiper" that sense the load on the motor when wiping and will slow down the speed of the wipers in certain conditions. My parents gave me a car in high school and I drove it for 18 years until buying the Bronco. My wife's still driving the car we bought for 5k in 2012. Suffice to say I plan to keep the Bronco around awhile.
