Although I vehemently DISAGREE with FORD!!!!!
I just received news from my Sevice rep asking Ford if MB3Z-6750-B was Ok to use on our current 2.7’s (to obviously rectify the wrong reading dip stick issue)
Ford has chosen to again… not right a wrong but continue to abandon logic by saying our...
Because…..
Ford never officially said you should fill past the max fill hole on your dip stick…
They implicitly warn in the Bronco owners manual: (see highlighted Note:)
So…..
Until I had it in writing from the Ford Tech Rep that adding 7 quarts will not harm the engine…
We never had an...
Really…. 7 quarts is not enough..
Did you not read the Ford Tech notes from Ford to my dealership service rep I posted….????
My oil is currently up into the twist….
But thanks for looking out for me!
I appreciate your concern
He is the latest from the Ford Tech resource from my Dealership concerning dip stick measuring procedure HOT or COLD.

After going around with the service people at my dealership, they verified from their sources that there is not a New Dipstick for the Bronco….
Today I called up the parts people and gave them the number MB3Z-6750-B….. there it was….
I ordered one and it will be here from Detroit to CA in three...
UPDATE: FORD DIRECTIVE ON 7 qt fill…..
Here is what my dealership heard back from Ford…
Which essentially says to add seven quarts blind…
Therefore Ford is saying to drain out all the oil then just add 7 quarts.
I am still not happy with this….apparently overfilling according to the dipstick...
As a matter of curiosity I just did…
On the left oil just drained after three heat cycles.
Middle the so-called dealership oil change from last Saturday.
Right is the fresh oil left over from the jug given back to me (from Saturday)
Left is the oil I just drained at the request of the...
It’s a good thing for me the dealership completely disagrees with your assumption.
Let me ask you this…. There were three five quart jugs. Two full and sealed. The third one had around 3.5 qts in it….
Well, “what if” the guy drained a few quarts emptied the 3.5 jug and kept the brand new...
Yes I have…. 7 quarts reads above the max fill line… (at least for me it does) and 7 quarts is in the capacity literature page 406-7 in the owners manual.
However until I hear back from Ford via this dealership and or get the new correct dip stick…. I will NOT go against there owners manual...
Just sent the pics to the Service manager….
As it turn out they completely and utterly agree with your assessment….
I told them they did not torque the lug nuts evenly and or to 100 ft lb Ford spec….
I told them I am not interested In taking my car back there and that my second Bronco (just...
Oil on left has Two miles on it (one trip home from the dealer)
The oil on the right has zero miles. Yet the same oil from supposedly the same jug.
no oil on the planet can oxidize and turn that black in 2 miles (a few hours after driving it home…)
Sherlock Holmes …. you clearly aren’t...
see the twist at the right of the photo (well past the max fill hole… it’s an issue many on this forum are concerned with…
and
You are correct the oil they were changing had 4 k miles on it…. What is pictured is right after I drove it home from the dealership oil change/service.
hope that...
yea my thoughts too!!!!
Don’t know why someone would steal fully synthetic oil… would you????
It’s not that expensive and definitely not worth losing your reputation or job over???
A mistake or oversight is understandable… but for some reason dishonesty and or laziness I kind of take personal….
After2 miles?????? all of the engine oil was in my drain pan (from the dealer)…
The Motor never even got up to temp….
Even mixed with residual oil it doesn’t turn black like that…..
that is!!!! Exactly what it is…. My oil after 4K miles from my first change….
WITHOUT QUESTION THAT IS NOT...
FYI here is what measured on the dip stick after 5 quarts added when I replaced the oil the dealership didn’t. When finished I ended up at the max fill hole with 6 quarts total.
Update from FORD TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO MY DEALER (Bottom photo)
7Qt fill directive
I’ve always changed my oil in all my cars as did my dad….
Anyway, from new….my Bronco dip stick read well up into the twist…. Wondered why they overfilled the oil at the factory….?????
I changed the oil in...
Diode Dynamics suggests splicing the backlights it to the DRL (driving lights) …
So when the diving lights come on/off so does your backlights.
Running the supplied HD harness (with a HD relay) which I believe provides power to both the backlights and the lights directly off if the battery…...
Please Note: The exception….. the early 2.7 Ford 6 cylinder twin Turbo Ecoboost engine had a coking issue (aka oil depositing on the intake valves) because of the direct fuel injection.
Changing oil frequently improved this situation but ultimately vaporized (non synthetic base oil) found its...
