I was just out there. There's plenty of Campgrounds on 128. As for tours we went with Outlaw Adventures. The guide was ahead of us in their Bronco and took us on Finns and Things and Hell's Revenge, we did it the day after the Off-Roadeo and it was fantastic, it'll show you just how much more...
I've been getting digital noise from the speakers every time I shift into reverse and occasionally it'll just straight up crash the console. Anyone else seen this?
Well It's Been an action packed few day. I dropped my friends off at the Airport Yesterday and am taking a down day. I've been in the car for 4-8 hours a day for 9 days! I'm a little limited on my photos as I was taking a lot of video and my computer is full. So until I can get decent...
Yeah, part of it was the sheer scale of the landscape. The worst for me is driver side camber. When I sank the car it was at a 19 degree angle and sitting there watch water leak into the car while my friends pulled me out was pretty scary. But I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Well We got to Moab Late Tuesday for those coming in from the east the 128 Bypass is definitely worth it.
The next Day The Adventure Began with a quick stop at the entrance to town.
We started off by heading to Dead Horse Point State Park. The story about the name is kind of horrible, but the...
Oh I've got full recovery gear. Maxtrax, 20ft and 30ft straps, 30ft recovery rope, snatch block, tire repair kit and a pretty good selection of tools. Plus a GMRS radio. I've also got wells and Peterson guide for Moab and Colorado.
Any suggestions for the Grand Junction to Moab part of the...
Damn, this just started happening to me right as I'm on my cross country road trip to Utah. It sounds like it's coming from the transfer case. hopefully it survives until I get home.
So I'm fortunate enough that my work offers me a 5 year sabbatical, so what else to do but head west and see what my Bronco can do. I thought I'd keep a travel log so that some folks back home can follow along. So this is my ride, the Lusitania, or Lucy for short:
She's a 2021 Badlands...
I've had the Fullview since about May of 2022 and have been pretty displeased with the durability/customer support. The Initial system I got wouldn't hold the time or settings which disabled the park monitoring feature. After a bunch of trouble trying to get it exchanged(I used 4wp to install...
I went with a full Xpel with Ceramic coating
I had a pine tree on the trail spear the front and penetrate th coating, but it seems to have mostly protected the paint.
Total was about ~$4.5k
I'm heading out west to Moab in 2 weeks and am going with the LOD transmission skid, LOD Destroyer Rock Sliders, and DV8 Shock Mount Sliders on a 4 Door Sasquatch. So far super happy with them, we'll see how they do on the trails in Moab and Ouray.
I just thought I'd chime in and say I got the Transmission Skid plate in prep for my trip out west and it' looks and fits great! I'll probably add the transfer case skid plat at some point. I only wish the front Diff skid plate was compatible with the stock plates/Mod bumper.
I just popped a Warn Evo 10s on my Badlands with a Rough Country High mount. I decided to relocate the control box. Gives it a nice sleek look in my opinion. Just decide if you're relocating the camera first because there's no way to get the grill off with the winch there. The install wasn't...
I had alternator issues after my Bronco sank to the top of the tires on the left side and earned the name Lusitania, but a good engine bay detail and she ran fine immediately afterwards.
Yeah I'm pretty surprised this happened. This is me 2 months after getting my Bronco. I never shut the engine off, and the alternator was a little off until I had the engine bay professionally cleaned, but otherwise no problems. I guess I did have the passenger side a little bit higher up...
