I realize you are talking permanent installs, but I am considering ordering a couple square yards of cheap PPF as temporary protection, until I figure out a mudflap solution for my particular build.
Yep. I'm so used to adding fogs for additional light that I was starting to get worried about placement options on the mod bumper.
Looks like I may not have to add them at all, for extra light at least.
Holy cow, I wasn't expecting that much height in order to make a flat sleeping platform. This actually makes me glad, lots of storage possibilities!
Would you mind posting the distance from the floor to the top of your platform? Would give me something to think about while I wait.
There are two factory fog switches available that replace the headlight switch: one front fogs only, the other has front & rear fog switches. Many people found that the harness already exists in their trim level (can't recall which ones). Lots of reading in this thread...
I hear people say you need the modular for bash plates, but I haven't seen this in black and white yet. I have to believe the capable bumper is compatible with plates as it is the 2022 standard bumper on BL, and BL comes with full body bash plates.
In the order guide, the deletion mentioned is...
Good catch! This reinforces my choice of the modular bumper. I was starting to get worried as I couldn't find any quality lights that fit IN the bumper rather than behind it, where the available kits are located.
I am in the same delimma. Here are some factors I am considering:
If you want fogs, the standard capable bumper comes with the lamps and the switch installed.
If you go with the modular, you can add the Ford switch for less than $100 and add your own fog lamps. I am personally not a fan of the...
I have been looking for a nice leather belt sheath/pouch/holster for fobs. I too hate fobs as they take too much room in the pocket. Nobody makes a belt holster it seems. I may make one.
Your idea though, that would be really cool. I imagine a full metal case would interfere with the range &...
I'm all for an analog tach or a digital representation of one.
I'm sure I can get used to the digital bar graph.... But I will never like it. Yuck!
As far as the need for one: In heavy traffic with lots of noise (wind, tires, other vehicles) I've found myself needlessly running high RPMs many...
Ouch. Yeah there goes my idea of this being "simple". I had pictured something similar to my current Aux fuse block, with a main feed and bus that distributes the positive current.
Thanks!
Haha! Well yes and no. The reason this scenario is in my head is because it happened a few months ago. I was giving a ride to an innebreated friend, and through no ill will, they hit every button on my dash looking for... Something... I'm guessing the radio
In my Tacoma, all they turned on were...
Every time I think about the aux switches, I imagine children and drunk passengers flipping the switches and causing problems.
I don't have a Bronco in hand to tinker with, but am wondering if there is any way to disable the switches?
If there is no way to do this, provided by Ford, I may have...
I wasn't impressed by the lighting locations at all.
I'm planning on adding a light (or lights) to the rear glass and/or tailgate that will both (a) light up when opened and (b) also provide some ambient light from the cargo area when down (and domes are on).
I Plan on adding switches so they...
Holy cow! Forget death wobble, with the right harmonics from potholes, this will become a death bounce!
If it was sized down a notch I could really appreciate it.
Awesome! I have been searching for a product like this, as I am sick of working on perma-rusted suspensions and even sicker of seeing rust developing on visible suspension components that are less than a year old. (Yucky Michigan)
Thank you for the clarification. I am glad the OP asked the question because searches into the "Vincent System" used for price protection bring up a lot of info on cash/points rebates. Thus I was asking the same questions in my head.
Obviously there will be a different person for everyone, but there is a lot of anticipation that got crushed by Ford and Covid.
I'm not talking just anticipation over the last few years either, and I'm sure others are with me. Ever since I began shopping for vehicles 23 years ago, I've been...
I'm not the asker, but the first thing I saw was the wasted space/gaps around the box. I want something like this, but that looks like a mess (and lost items) waiting to happen. Lol.
Would be nice if the sides were molded closer to the shape of the cargo area and had some pockets or bins on the...
Oops! Just found a picture of the mount on RTRparts.com, which in turn led me to their walk-around video. This video shows the tailgate mods around the 1:00 mark:
Guess I was wrong about the rough country tailgate reinforcement, but it looks like they could work together.
