This a great response! I've been tempted to test it out, based on the assumption it's safe, but the thought of potential results and bad noises stopped me.
So I have had the Bronco about a month and haven't tinkered around with GOAT modes except once while parked.
I was surprised that all the mechanical changes (locking if difs, disconnecting sway bar, etc) happen without confirmation, which brings me to my question:
What happens if I decide to...
I've been scratching my head about this since the post went up. I think the problem is that they named it incorrectly.
This unit would be great for anyone running multiple higher amp accessories (30amps per switch, 50amp max simultaneously) compared to the lower amp ratings of the upfutters...
I had the OEM Soft for a couple weeks then installed the Trektop.. and have some input for the questions.
1) I have had no issues with rain, snow, ice getting in when closed, or when opening the door.
2) Wind noise might be a slightly louder with the Trektop. Hard to say. I think it's arched...
I've been trying to compile as much information as I can on this subject and am looking for confirmation on my plans:
I'm expecting 0.5“+ of sag due to settling, RSE steps, and gear. Whatever the sag is, any lift up to that point should only restore correct angles, correct?
I'm reading that...
These have been on my list to buy, based on reviews, as soon as my Bronco fund replenishes.
The only negative I see is the weight.... The 10.5s are as heavy as rugged 35x12.5s (Duratracs).
These 10.5s weigh about 68Lbs, verified with pictures on a scale from the Toyota forums.
These are very helpful, I have considered printing the manual but even with some editing, it's hundreds of 8.5x11 pages in a format that isn't very efficient.
I will keep playing with it and see if I can shrink the whitespace and page-count down significantly.... But I'm not very optimistic...
Are you talking about the white push-in clips? I inadvertently pulled a few out while removing the soft top bracket covers and feel like I am going to break the cargo area plastic trying to push them back in.
It seems like a ton of pressure is required to clip them in compared to how easy they...
I will be watching and researching this question for other reasons: After I add & make the accessories I want, I will have some suspension sag; and I want to maintain factory clearances and maybe a bit more.
I have read on here that the fabtech 1.5“ kit can be used on the rear as well...
I don't know how much your time is worth, but if I had spent as much time counting pennies & trolling other people's purchase decisions as you, I would already have an opportunity cost (net loss) equivalent to the value of the Sasquatch package on a BL. And yes, getting the lowest gearing is a...
I purchased these and am hoping the Anthracite color looks as good on CO as I'm hoping. These will do fine until a nice forged option ( with correct offset) becomes available.
Fuel Vector 17x8.5 / +07mm offset / 31Lb (stock photo not the 6 lug)
This is the line of thought I was struggling with myself.
OP, if you are saying that the clutch is holding during normal driving, I am leaning away from a problem with the friction plate/flywheel. Downshifting in higher gears while watching RPMs can help to see if there is some slippage though...
It's not much effort to make them keep their word. Seriously. Contact Ford or Levine via Twitter.
You locked your reservation to that location based on a promise of pricing. That promise has now been broken. Had they not misrepresented the price, you could have chosen an honest dealer and have...
I can think of two solutions for the cosmetic aspect of the short boards and the ugly recess in front. I may 3D Print or machine a piece myself if RSE doesn't take the initiative:
1) Because of the recessed portion, it would be pretty simple to print/mold/machine a well designed nose piece that...
I realize you won't be able to please everyone, but what will the final color be?
If not black, is it paintable? Hard to say now, but I think the MIC grey color would stand out quite a bit next to the black soft top.
This flare isn't something I could personally use, but the moulding you've placed on the door is very similar to something we northerners may need.
Those rears doors can be blocked from opening due to ice buildup on the rear flares. The simple solution would be to have a flare on the door that...
I'm definitely curious where the line is between a bad throw-out bearing v normal 7MT noise.
I occasionally hear a slight noise from my idling 7MT, like a mouse trying to scratch it's way out of a cardboard box. I wasn't worried about it until I read this thread. Lol.
My Tacoma's 2.7 sounded...
I need to test this scenario again, but yesterday I crossed a set of two rough railroad tracks (that crossed the road at 45 degrees) and heard some rattling even when the windows were closed!
I immediately hit all the window buttons to be sure, and didn't hear any move, but it is hard to tell...
Has anyone compared the weight of these to the OEM plates yet? That is really the only information I'm waiting on before making a decision.
The only other decision is whether the front plate would fit MOD bumpers / hidden winch solutions, but that info is harder to come by.
