  1. Two door base, no stinking packages, crickets...

I took my wife’s JLU wheeling last weekend and did some pretty decent obstacles (like 2 wheels off the ground stuff). On one, there was a lifted FJ Cruiser on 33s that was struggling and had to lock the rear diff. My Willys JLU made it absolutely no problem with just the traction control (and...
  2. Two door base, no stinking packages, crickets...

That base is capable of going a lot more places offroad than 99% of Badlands and Squatch models will ever actually go.
  3. @dealerinsider offer closed

@DealerInsider, are you doing anything for reservation transfers? Apologies if you said it somewhere already. My dealer is doing straight MSRP and I just can’t get on board with thatšŸ˜†
  4. Top reasons jeep wrangler better than bronco

I think most people will be much happier with the IFS in the Bronco. I prefer IFS and am looking forward to maybe someday being able to buy a manual BaseSquatch. That said, it’s not like Jeep is the only vehicle to exhibit death wobble. I’ve had no issues in the new JL (a month of...
  5. “Bronco wave”

After about two weeks of Wrangler ownership, I’ve noticed that 95% of Jeeps in my area are 4-doors (mine is too) driven by middle-aged women and none of them wave. šŸ˜†
  6. Well, I bought a JeepšŸ˜†

And the diagnostic tool for them is the VAG Com! šŸ˜‚
  7. Well, I bought a JeepšŸ˜†

Man, that is a beautiful car. I really dig those. The Giulia is nice too. I kind of half thought about a quadrifoglio when I bought my Model 3 Performance. Incidentally, the smarmy ā€œenjoy your Fiatā€ comments remind me a lot of all the same kinds of guys that got tremendous satisfaction...
  8. Well, I bought a JeepšŸ˜†

They were pretty good. The snow was packed fairly well and it was basically just a fire road. But I did go up a few 10 to 11 degree grades with no issues. I used 4h and took it nice and easy to enjoy the scenery. Heading to Anthracite in a few weeks to do some real stuff.
  9. Well, I bought a JeepšŸ˜†

I expect overall quality to be a bit better with the Bronco. Ford is still my favorite domestic brand, but I’m not going to limit myself out of loyalty to a company that doesn’t know I exist. So far, the Jeep is awesome. I can’t wait to compare the two. I took it out on a local trail today...
  10. Well, I bought a JeepšŸ˜†

Going to hit a few trails this weekend. Will post an action shot.
  11. Well, I bought a JeepšŸ˜†

I wanted to order a nacho, but my wife didn’t like the color. I pointed out a Punk’n metallic one while we were out driving and she had to have that, so I searched for the lowest mile one I could find. Got a 2020 Willys with barely 4K miles on it. Saved a little money and she’s happy. The...
  12. Well, I bought a JeepšŸ˜†

At this point, I am operating under the assumption thatJune/July is pretty optimistic. She was in a Tesla that we’ve had for about 6 years and 116k miles and it was starting to have fairly expensive issues. I wanted to go ahead and get something. Was going to buy myself a Jeep while biding...
  13. Well, I bought a JeepšŸ˜†

I bought a JLU Willys edition. It’s for the wife, so I’ll be keeping my second Bronco reservation (October Granger res). I’ll likely be canceling my day 1 reservation, so hopefully some of you will move up a slot. I’m fully committed to BaseManSquatch, so no reason to try for a 2021 model. I...
  14. Adaptive (ACC) with 7-speed?

Yeah, this is definitely another win for Jeep. Can get a Rubi with cold weather package, and safety/advanced safety without any other ridiculously priced option packages. I know some people want all the fancy luxe crap, but I just want warmth and reasonably smart cruisešŸ˜†
  15. B&P Update: Sasquatch Pricing on Base 2-Door and Big Bend Now $7385

I guess we’re assuming that even when ManSquatch is released, Ford will force the advanced 4x4. So $5790 for ManSquatch.
  16. Ford finally got me....

Zero chance I buy an auto. I might get sucked into a Badlands because of late availability of ManSquatch and no mid with manual BD, but I doubt it. I had a 2005 Nissan Xterra Off-road with a 6-speed. That thing was a blast and had plenty of power/torque, especially in the dirt. I wish I had...
  17. More Off-Roadeo Locations announced: Moab, Vermont, Nevada (in addition to Austin)

I hope you’re right about this. ManSquatch is 2022 and I really want to go to one of these. I’ve owned a lot of Fords, but interestingly, I’ve never bought one new. You’d think taking care of early adopters would be a priority, but Tesla has made an absolute living out of burning early...
  18. Last Call: Manual vs. Auto.. Why? (HELP!!)

I feel like if you have to ask the question, just get the auto. If there were no stick, there would be zero percent chance I’d by buying a Bronco.
  19. Second Thoughts on Manual Transmission

Yeah, this discussion cracks me up. You can’t ā€œwinā€ an argument about something so subjective. All these sports car manufacturers touting performance numbers for the modern automatics... I could care less if the auto is faster, more efficient, has more features, etc. It’s not fun. I buy...
  20. No lease

I’ve been having these same thoughts. I may just lease a new Jeep every 3 years for $300/month. I don’t need any frills on a Jeep. I would much prefer a Bronco, but a really basic soft top Jeep with cold weather package is appealing For less than $3 hundo a month.
