In the pic, look at the outboard boot. It’s all twisted from where the axle shaft kept spinning, but the outer housing of the CV joint stopped. Looks like the CV joint failed or I guess possibly the splines on the axle stripped.

I’m out west and there are decent places in the PA/MD/WV area. I know it’s a long trek out here, but it beats getting busted by the fuzz!

Not sure what the point of this post is. Porsches are awesome. I love my fox Mustangs from the same era, but you’d have to modify the chassis on the V8 Mustangs and replace every suspension and braking component to make them competitive with essentially stock 4 cylinder Porsches on a race track.

Ha ha, I just pulled the T90 and Dana 18 out of my old CJ5 for a rebuild. But I’m not about to do Chrysler’s work for them by wrenching on a new vehicle with a warranty! PS, I have Porsches, so I have replaced many rear main seals in my day🙄

I bought an orphan for MSRP. Wasn’t exactly what I wanted, but it had the important stuff and if I decide I want my BaseManSquatch later, I can always order that and trade this one in.

For what it’s worth, the soft top is awesome. I put it down the second day and only put it up in safari mode if it looks like rain. I stowed the side and rear window in the garage. Really enjoying the ease of putting the top down.

To me the distinction is in the language. I’m sure Jeep will lose market share. It will go from 100% to something less than 100%. But they are not “in trouble.” The Camaro is in trouble.
