  1. Picked up a Badlands

That is one of the pettiest ā€œcontributionsā€ to a thread I’ve ever seen. I dub thee Troll. This is my thread and I will talk about whatever I want.
  2. Broken front axle at CV joint on my Bronco Badlands 4-Door 2.7L

In the pic, look at the outboard boot. It’s all twisted from where the axle shaft kept spinning, but the outer housing of the CV joint stopped. Looks like the CV joint failed or I guess possibly the splines on the axle stripped.
  3. Picked up a Badlands

I’m out west and there are decent places in the PA/MD/WV area. I know it’s a long trek out here, but it beats getting busted by the fuzz!
  4. Picked up a Badlands

Not sure what the point of this post is. Porsches are awesome. I love my fox Mustangs from the same era, but you’d have to modify the chassis on the V8 Mustangs and replace every suspension and braking component to make them competitive with essentially stock 4 cylinder Porsches on a race track.
  5. Picked up a Badlands

Ha ha, I just pulled the T90 and Dana 18 out of my old CJ5 for a rebuild. But I’m not about to do Chrysler’s work for them by wrenching on a new vehicle with a warranty! PS, I have Porsches, so I have replaced many rear main seals in my dayšŸ™„
  6. Not all mondays are bad..

Cactus is really looking good in these real life pics. Very nice.
  7. Some light trail cruising

I think it’s a Timber rattler, but I’m no snake expert.
  8. The wait is unfortunately becoming bearable.

I’m driving around with an airbag fault that has been present since I drove away from the dealer. I expected to have issues with an early build and picked up a Ford extended warranty. But life is short and I am having some serious top-down fun with this Bronco. They’ll get the issues sorted...
  9. Some light trail cruising

Nah, seemed like a decent guy. barely even rattled at me.
  10. Some light trail cruising

The snake peaced out pretty fast. I got about one half rattle as he turned around to leave. I did the same trail about a month ago in my wife’s Jeep. I saw a timber rattler on that trip as well. Probably the same one. We’re friends now.
  11. Some light trail cruising

I took the Bronco out to a municipal forest with essentially some fire roads that wind through the mountains. It’s definitely not a serious or difficult trail, but it’s close by and is a nice pleasant afternoon drive. Can’t really tell anything about the capabilities, but the ambience of top...
  12. Conventional Wisdom — Bronco Engines Are Detuned for Break-in — True or False?

I’m at like 550 miles and still driving my 2.3 like grandma, so not sure how it will feel at full throttle and can’t say whether it feels like it’s making the advertised power. I am using premiumšŸ˜©šŸ’°. But I pretty much never even spool up the turbo and the power is more than adequate for what I...
  13. Base Sasquatch 2-Door delivered in Atlanta

That’s a sweet looking Bronco. BaseSquatch is a fantastic deal.
  14. 2 Door Bronco decision validated

I still haven’t seen a 2-door in person, but holy crap, this pic looks like essentially the perfect Bronco to me. I love the simple vintage vibe of the Black Diamond 2-door on steelies. I reserved two Broncos (both 2-doors) and bought an abandoned 4-door Badlands. This kind of pic makes me...
  15. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

Anyone know the thread specs on this hole? 1/4ā€-20 maybe?
  16. Order Abandonment

I bought an orphan for MSRP. Wasn’t exactly what I wanted, but it had the important stuff and if I decide I want my BaseManSquatch later, I can always order that and trade this one in.
  17. New update from dealer.

For what it’s worth, the soft top is awesome. I put it down the second day and only put it up in safari mode if it looks like rain. I stowed the side and rear window in the garage. Really enjoying the ease of putting the top down.
  18. Jeep is in trouble

To me the distinction is in the language. I’m sure Jeep will lose market share. It will go from 100% to something less than 100%. But they are not ā€œin trouble.ā€ The Camaro is in trouble.
  19. Jeep is in trouble

I still crack up every time this thread comes back around. After 3 days with my new Badlands, I can say confidently that it is awesome and I love it. But I also love our 2020 Wrangler JLU. I honestly can’t say which one I like more. I think ultimately I’m going to prefer the Bronco by a slim...
