  1. Bronco 2.3L sudden death on way home from work! ***UPDATE #2***

When was your Bronco assembled? There’s a bad batch of 2.3l engines that some made there way into Broncos. Check that you don’t have coolant in your engine oil, or low coolant in the reservoir. The blocks can crack on that batch, bad castings. If I recall, build dates around March 2023
  2. Wrong fender! Are you kidding me?

Well if it were mine, I'd try to make the pitch to the dealer that they should leave the squared fender and swap the others, as they look substantially better. Given its only 1 to swap vs 3 it may be difficult, but if you approach it comically and show your service rep, you never know.
  3. Red Bandit's Memorial Weekend -> Mojave Road -> Grand Canyon -> Sedona

Can confirm both that Schnebley is quite rocky on the top half (traveled West to East leaving Sedona, note that the Pink Jeeps turn around right at the part where it starts climbing and gets quite rocky) and that Soldiers Pass is well worth getting a permit for, both are mandatory 3 of 10 ratings.
  4. Custom Dual Battery Build

I think those prismatic cells are the right direction for a project like this. That cell you showed is used in a lot of DIY battery systems you can find tutorials on how to put together online. Stick with LiPo for its safety benefits and get a good battery manager in there with temperature...
  5. 6th gear worthless?

Exactly where I’m at. Really start to notice the lack of power below 2.1k, and only in 6th once I’m up up speed over 65 mph. Stock BL non-Sas.
  6. Fun times in Utah - Hell's Revenge and Lost World

I was curious on this as well, so did some googling. Its a TC Teardrop https://www.tcteardrops.com/products/tcteardrop-build-quote rented from Camping Elevated in Flagstaff https://www.campingelevated.com/
  7. Are the stock squatch tires really that bad?

While I don't have the SAS tires, I do have the C Rated KO2's that came on my Badlands still on there. I am a pretty strong believer in using the tires that came on the vehicle for their useful life, you did pay for them after all. Once you get a puncture or two, or run down the tread, is when...
  8. XPEL Ceramic Coating + XPEL Ultimate Plus PPF Applied

In SoCal expect to pay around $4-5k for full vehicle paint correction, PPF, and a 7-year Ceramic coating on a mid-sized SUV. Price does vary widely, but you really do need to do a bit of homework, read reviews of the shop, and see if you can be shown some of their in progress or recently...
  9. Current build, 2023 Everglades

Oh interesting, I hadn’t realized that the raised air intake ā€˜blocks’ the standard ditch mount location on the passenger side. Wonder if all the aftermarket ones do the same. Strange side effect of the way the door mirrors are mounted vs on the door itself like the wrangler does. Agree with the...
  10. Check this NOW if you have a 2021 Bronco -- cracks on rear control arm upper brackets

2 Doors don't get the rear sway bar (though I recall the 2 Door WT might actually have a rear sway bar with Hoss 3.0?), but it does stand to reason that an upgrade made to the 4 Door frame would also flow down to the 2 Door frame. Unfortunately true, various modules are grounded to the chassis...
  11. Check this NOW if you have a 2021 Bronco -- cracks on rear control arm upper brackets

Figured I'd go check mine. Boxed - 23 Badlands non-sas 2 door 2.3l 7MT. No visible cracks, but also stock.
  12. Bronco November 2023 Sales & Production: 2,911 Sold / 10,771 Produced

Its an indication that the market has gotten too expensive, and coupled with interest rates and the approaching holiday expenses, a new body on frame anything just isn't in the cards for most.
  13. Capt. Obvious Transmission/Trim PSA: if considering a manual, try to find one you can test drive - even if used

Same here, got the 2 door 7mt BL non-SAS, high pack, which for me is the optimal price point for manual with all the cameras and heated seats, and avoid paying for the auto without getting one. Once you start to add lockers to any of the other trims, it just doesn't make sense to go any other way.
  14. Latest Bronco Production Key Commodity Constraints + Total Retail Unscheduled Orders (11/6/23)

How does the engine options not add up to 100%? Are the missing 26% of those 9,117 orders Raptors?
  15. Another Bronco on the Rubicon Thread

These look so much better than the other squared off fender flares I’ve seen. Also looks like a great time and thanks for sharing.
  16. 38s, yeah I did that…

How's the angles look at full droop up front? Looking great though, really like the fenders in green.
  17. iPad or Tablet size for OnX offroad maps?

I was going to post the exact same video. The benefit to using a phone/tablet for maps is having the full functionality, vs a trimmed down CarPlay version. I use Gaia and while it's great to see all our custom maps on the infotainment system, you can't really do much with them except view...
  18. [Giveaway] Win with your friend! Tozalazz dual air compressor

Sandstone Canyon in Anza Borrego. @drzmat would probably like a compressor as well, because who wouldn't want a high flow twin compressor. Does the giveaway also include a 4 tire inflator kit? They're pretty much a requirement with that much air flow, too much for any one valve stem to handle.
  19. TSB 23-2219 - MT88 Manual Transmission - No 3rd Gear And/Or Grinding Noise Going Into 3rd And/Or 4th Gear

Mine had a blend date of 3/30 and has an AB tagged 7MT. 760 miles on it and its been in dealer service 7 and a half weeks and counting for a transmission oil leak, among other warrantied issues.
