I shift at~3k ish. Once you get into 3rd gear you dont hear it as the road noise overpowers this. But if you roll to stop with clutch in or out, you hear the "rocks rolling around". Sounds like you got lucky on your tranny.

Cool, there are a few mfgr's of mesh, but not full waterproof canvas that is strong, light, and doesnt flap, other than the one i had the canvas shop make for me. Either way, it's only a 4-minute install or less...

I have a 7MT so my seat is close up for good clutch coverage, with sitting more forward the sun hits me all the time... i know cuz i bought a gearshade (which are great !!!) but then ai made my own in canvas and longer and am more than happy. Ingave some to three other folks on the forum here...

I hear it is 1st and 2nd gear, only because road and wind noise drown it out after that. Bit it is definitely not as buttery as it was pre ~2k. Also the cold/warm doesnt matter. Today it was 60 and i heard it leaving the house and after 30min of driving
