....sounds about right for Lithia... My wife's car, bronco sports, has been there 6 weeks. It went in for water pump failure and faulty passenger seat belt. They had backorder on water pump so we had to wait a long time, then that was replaced and it turns out they did the work sequentially...

Looks like on the Bronco Nation forums there are quite a few issues with the 7MT's. Someone stated issue with carrier bearing damage in mfg'ing. Mine's already been to Litha Ford for a checkup so int's notated... just waiting for Ford's TSB or someone to realize it's an issue.

Howdy all, any othere here have a 7MT? Im experiencing some strange grinding noise from the tranny. It sounds like a bunch of rocks rolling around and the dealership is telling me its normal. I would love to compare the sound to another 7MT in Boise.

pressing in clutch does nothing when i come to a stop sign and press in clutch the sound is horrific :(

That noise is all the time. Cold start. Warm Start (70 degree F) Even when fully warm. Even after driving 30 minutes to dealership, and had a ride along with Ford Shop foreman.... after 30 minutes he heard it as soon as he got in. And after all of that, they said what they said in my service...

Would better gear oil fix the grinding noise we are hearing from the 7MT that some dealerships (like mine) are saying normal? See my service record and sound byte below:

Got mine back today and they said "Compared to like vehicle, found that this is a normal characteristics of the vehicle" and "checked for TSB's or SSM's and found none". Here is another video from today and my service record

Got my bronco back and they said "Compared to like vehicle, found that this is a normal characteristics of the vehicle" and "checked for TSB's or SSM's and found none". So basically we they dont know and until Ford officially says something it's a non issue.

Anything 3rd gear or over the road noise drowns out the transmission noise, however I assume it's still there as when I slow down I hear it.

Mine makes noise even when clutch is in. If you see my video, you can see me roll into a stop sign with clutch in and the noise is very noticeable @~ 7 seconds the clutch is fully depressed and I roll to a stop sign

I dropped mine off at dealership Monday and they just called me back and stated "we compared the grinding noice to like vehicles and this is normal" My response was I did not have this noise for the first 2k, and now it happens every day I drive, even after driving 30 + minutes. They just...
