  1. Drivetrain Failure in Bronco Badlands 2.3 Back with new engine after 4 months

I did. I actually had two open reservations. I had a day 2 reservation with my local dealer (the one with the less than efficient service department) and an October Granger reservation. The Bronco that died was an abandoned order that I picked up at Liberty Ford in Ohio. I used the early res...
  2. Drivetrain Failure in Bronco Badlands 2.3 Back with new engine after 4 months

I had a minor accident in a Model S. My repair experience was not very different from any other car I've ever had. It took a while to get the new repair panel, but not really much worse than a Mazda I had some years ago. Also, Tesla service centers are starting to do collision repair now...
  3. Drivetrain Failure in Bronco Badlands 2.3 Back with new engine after 4 months

Yeah, I had the same concerns. Even if they "fix" mine, it will still be a Bronco that was torn apart by a dealership several times and pieced back together. I wrote Ford a certified letter citing the provisions of the lemon law in my state and, as we are well past the time requirement, they...
  4. 👨🏻‍💻 2022 Build & Price Is Up!

If they quit up-charging the Mansquatch for nonexistent 10AT, I am in for a 2-door '22 Mansquatch in either CO or EG. Otherwise, I will stick with my '21 4-door Badlands. With the addition of all colors on the base, I also am having passing thoughts about a 2-door base nosquatch. It really is...
  5. 2-door base incoming

Someone will be very happy. 😁
  6. $15K Price Increase From Dealer Over MSRP Scam

All of this is why the traditional third party dealer network system is garbage. The only reason these scumbags can do this is because dealer lobbies in every state have pushed for ridiculous laws preventing direct sales. We have all ordered these vehicles from Ford. Cronyism and good old boy...
  7. Hard Top Prep Kit controls

Anyone with a recent soft top build take any pics of the hard top prep kit hookups and controls? I’m just curious how they integrated the controls.
  8. Early reservation, late order

I was an early res, late order just like you. The big difference is I went Badlands soft top. I placed order in early September '21 on a day 2 reservation. I got scheduling email the next day. You switch to soft top, I bet you'd schedule quickly.
  9. Anyone taught their wife to drive a Manual Trans?

I'm another one in the "failed" column. I gave up and bought an automatic Wrangler. But that's hers and we have other automatics she can use as backup, so the Bronco is a stick. I'm one of those manual or die types. The 7-speed is awesome.
  10. Disappointing Off-rodeo in NH

Sorry to hear you didn't have the experience you were expecting. We went last month and had two guides for about 8 Broncos. We had a blast. I can see how rain and only one guide could make for slow going. They turned us loose a lot and we drove everything except the big obstacles without...
  11. Bronco Owners Poll: have you had any QC issue?

That's fine, but it relies on pure speculation. I loved my Bronco when I had it and was just as active on the forum if not more. I still love Broncos and despite my experience, I don't have a negative opinion. Well, maybe about my dealer service center! Bottom line, Ford is obviously...
  12. Bronco Owners Poll: have you had any QC issue?

To me this actually just demonstrates that a wider population sample of owners would UNDERreport problems and this forum is more accurate. Just because a soccer mom doesn’t notice a QC issue doesn’t mean it isn’t there.
  13. Bronco Owners Poll: have you had any QC issue?

😂. I mean, does a check engine light from day 1 plus engine failure at 600 miles count? That was 9 weeks ago. Bronco still at the dealer.
  14. Black Diamond vs. Badlands

So much this. In fact, it almost pissed me off enough to just buy another Jeep.
  15. Ford Wants To Compete With Tesla, But Its Dealers Are Getting In The Way

There are a lot of very differing views in this thread. As someone with a lot of experience with Tesla, I can say I have had nothing but great service experiences. Every time one of my Teslas (we've had two) needs service, they either come perform the service at my house or give a me a nice...
  16. 7 speed Manuel Vs 10 speed Auto.

I honestly think if you’re asking this question, you should be buying the auto. There is no logical reason to buy the manual (or Manuel). You buy it if you love driving and can’t fathom the thought of buying an auto when a stick is available. I’ve talked to people who said they switched to...
  17. Talk me out of (or into) a Gladiator Mojave

Probably a very unpopular opinion, but I love our Jeep (2020 JLUW). We don't have a Gladiator, but the Mojave is incredibly cool and a 6-speed Mojave sounds pretty rad to me. The manual Jeeps are also quicker and get better mileage than the 7-speed Bronco. The abysmal departure/breakover...
  18. Bronco Off-Roadeo Las Vegas Photo Dump

Ha ha, I was wondering how hot it was. I did the New Hampshire one and the weather was unbelievable. Almost everyone in my group put the top back and did the whole thing top down/windows open.
  19. Drivetrain Failure in Bronco Badlands 2.3 Back with new engine after 4 months

Ha ha, I didn't even think about that. It's true though. That sweet manual Badlands in the sluice box at NH is a preproduction unit that nobody is allowed to drive anymore. They said that one was getting crushed.
