Did you ever get a solution from Trail Seven? Their plug and play kits are very tempting for those of us not very well versed in car audio but do want better sound (me...), but not if they don't fit lol.

Exactly this. My last 2 vehicles had the same issue. Leave the keys far enough away and it’s a non-issue.

I mean that’s always possible. If it were me, I’d hop online and see what used ones are selling for. KBB will give you an idea but actual used car listings will be the most telling. And then bring that info to the dealer and compare. Also places like carvana are giving surprisingly good prices...
