It wasn't me, as I quit Facebook four years ago after a decade. Lol! Opening my bumpers took a lot of ripping and tearing, and was noisy from breaking foam. Lol! But, you could have dropped them on concrete after unboxing and not hurt a thing as long as the foam hadn't been removed yet.
There are definitely ways to do better. I ordered bumpers from a different company, and they sprayed foam insulation into bags which they then wrapped around the bumpers and boxed up before it hardened. 100% bombproof.
My build date changed constantly. Every week when I contacted chat, it was bumped to a different week. Lol! And my Bronco was at my dealership way before my last delivery ETA.
Luckily, that is exactly what mine is. It gets driven one day on the weekend, sometimes both days. Unluckily, I have no garage space for it, so I actually park it out in the middle of the side yard away from trees. Lol!
Don't rely on Ford to send a shipping email. Many here never get them. I got a scheduling email and that was it. Even checking the tracker, mine NEVER said shipped. Mine showed up at my chosen dealership -- and the tracker still never said shipped. My dealer never called to tell me it had...
I just opened my fob for the first time, and noticed that the mechanical key is only partially cut. I assume it is supposed to only be cut halfway through the blank?
Mine went off twice today while in my pocket. Once while parking in front of the door at Autozone and walking in, and the second time while at a park eating ice cream on a bench. Both times resulted in embarrassment from everyone looking. Lol!
Isn't that the truth! I had the cash to buy my Bronco outright, but chose to finance half of it. My last vehicle payment was in 1995, and I haven't even made the first payment on the Bronco and I think about it daily. Lol! I'm going to make 3-4 payments a month to get this over with.
No idea how long it will last, but the interior of the frame comes coated from the factory with some sort of greasy protectant. I pulled a wire through the frame for rear bumper lights and had that stuff all over my hands.
I took a ton of screen shots back then as well. Lol! I've deleted them since I took delivery of my Bronco, but I think they stay in my trash folder for 30 days before going away for good. But, you have the one you need. Now let's hope that they aren't too stubborn to accept it!
The dealership will get that money regardless of whether they pass it on to the customer or not, unless they are honestly ignorant of that fact. I don't know if it is done automatically or if they have to manually apply for it, but it's definitely there for the taking in SmartVincent.
Good...
I have no idea. I'm older now and I just prefer not to run the shit out of my stuff. Lol! Especially the first brand new vehicle I've ever had. I've blown at least three engines in my youth. I had enough traffic tickets in my late twenties that I had to attend defensive driving school to save my...
I couldn't get JCR Offroad's license plate relocation bracket to fit, and didn't really want the plate on my spare anyway. And I certainly didn't want the hassle of wiring up a license plate light. I am in the process of having a local fab shop laser cut and bend me a bracket to attach my plate...
Don't laugh, but I like the Base steering wheel -- a lot. I guess when you've got calluses from 35+ years of hard work, you don't need a cushy leather steering wheel. 😉
If you ordered in 2022 and took possession of a MY22, then you definitely have price protection. It would have been iffy if you'd have been bumped to MY23, but there is NO doubt if you get the model year you ordered.
Yes, sir. There were two price increases -- one early on (February or March?) and the other in, I believe, July. Does the $1250 count both of those?
As for the $100, I didn't even think it would be protected, so I didn't ask. The dealer said I was entitled to it.
I had a January order as well, and it was delivered in September. I got price protection for both of the MY22 midyear price increases ($1500 and $500 for the Base model), and my dealer even gave me the $100 for the delivery increase.
