  1. If people back out of reservations, are dealers free to sell their unused allocation to anyone ?

And this is why we're seeing that 80% conversion rate across the board. Who's surprised? By the way, only one dealer that I know of has publicly stated that they will not be hanging onto cancelled reservations. Some guy in Iowa. Hoping there are more dealerships out there like that or we could...
  2. Advanced 4x4 vs the standard option

That, and the availability of the high package for the 12" screen and 360 camera, is what pushed me from the Big Bend to the Outer Banks.
  3. If people back out of reservations, are dealers free to sell their unused allocation to anyone ?

It'll be just like the 1980s Cabbage Patch and 1990s Beanie Baby riots all over again. I can see it already: Soccer Mom Squats in Big Bend at Local Dealership while Prospective Buyers Bang on Hood, Windshield - Refuses to Move Claiming "I Saw It First." Crazed 6g Members Block Freeway, Halt...
  4. If people back out of reservations, are dealers free to sell their unused allocation to anyone ?

If it's any consolation, I expect many of those dealer orders to be Oxford White (easy to sell) 4-door Big Bends with 2.3s and no leather, no lux, and no sas (better chance of an early build). It's not going to be pretty.
  5. If people back out of reservations, are dealers free to sell their unused allocation to anyone ?

This is exactly what I see happening. Dealers will have stock from people who order and don't do the deal after it's delivered. Dealers will also have stock from people who "cancelled," dealer offered to take care of the cancellation for them, then went ahead and placed the order anyway to boost...
  6. Does anyone know if you can fit 33's on the standard non-sasquatch Outer Banks ?

I priced that out and ended up at about $5K more than my current build. So...looking at other options.
  7. Does anyone know if you can fit 33's on the standard non-sasquatch Outer Banks ?

I'm thinking the same. Are you considering a 2" lift if it's offered as a factory install? Any ideas (from anyone) on potential cost? I don't want to Sas my OBX but am looking at a small lift and possibly bigger tires down the road. Also considering the cost difference between lift and tires...
  8. Any images of Outer Banks standard bumper?

Yeah, this is what's so confusing: Go to https://www.ford.com/suvs/bronco/2021/models/bronco-outer-banks/ and click on Exterior Features > Optional > Heavy-Duty Modular Front Bumper > (Open image overlay for Heavy-Duty Modular Front Bumper). This is what pops up:
  9. Are you going to cry upon first engine start?

As soon as I get my build and delivery dates, I'm calling my dentist and getting an appointment to have my teeth whitened. I expect to be smiling a whole lot for a long, long, time. Wonder if my dentist is offering a "new Bronco owner" special?
  10. Any images of Outer Banks standard bumper?

Has this been confirmed? Because the Ford site clearly states (when you click on adding a front modular to an Outer Banks) that the rear bumper is steel. Is that a mistake on the site? Not that I'd be shocked by a mistake on the website...just looking for something official.
  11. Pricing BronCoach for Badlands 4 Dr Lux Manual

I don't have a similar build at all but I'm saving more than $3,000. This assumes prices don't change (again) and I don't get pushed into MY22, when prices could go up. When you order through Granger, they break it all down for you and show you MSRP versus Invoice versus what they expect to...
  12. B6G Poll: can you drive a manual or not?

That's hilarious. I tell'ya, whenever a guy drops by my house on a morning like today's, I'm tempted to suddenly "forget" how to use a snow shovel! Sounds like you're safe for desert driving - and snakes. She's got it all figured out.
  13. B6G Poll: can you drive a manual or not?

I don' think this poll even represents the 6g community because people who drive a stick are much more likely to respond to the survey than those who do not. It's like saying "How many of you do not pick your nose?" Would you *really* expect all the nose-pickers to fess up? Not counting my...
  14. daily reminder to winch buyers. Dont do that.

Do you think there will be a good aftermarket solution for adding fog lights, which we lose with the modular bumper? I'm getting one on my OBX but that's bugging me.
  15. my experience so far......

A possibility, but I wouldn't wait until March 19 to find out. Hasn't anyone placed an FE order yet?
  16. my experience so far......

I agree with this assessment. A dealer who's too busy to take your order for a $60K+ vehicle is either the dumbest salesperson on the planet or he's dicking you around (or his name is Brandon, Zach, or Albert and he really is busy and really is going to get to you soon!). For all you know, he...

  18. Tape Measured Depth of the 2021 Bronco 2-Door Cargo / Trunk Area = 20-21 Inches

Nicely done! I think you might have closer to 48" x 50" though - even better. I'm hoping to get one of those Tuffy fixed-lid 2Dr cargo enclosures for the back (from the accessory list) - should be *almost* level with the back seats when they're down.
  19. 2 Door Bronco Rear Interior Dimensions With Front Seats All The Way Forward?

Yup, and if we go with 4'2", which may be more accurate, and 0.66 of a foot (instead of ballparking the half-a-foot) - it's 5' + 7.92" so the diagonal space may be closer to 5'8".
  20. 2 Door Bronco Rear Interior Dimensions With Front Seats All The Way Forward?

I want to say it's roughly 4' by 4'. I figured this out a while ago to see whether or not I can sleep in the back, and I think I used those dimensions and the formula for the hypotenuse of a triangle to come up with just over 5'6" of diagonal space, which is how tall I am. So at least for me...
