I’m running the 4ohm 6 3/4 Kicker sub with the Fusion amp. Will bumping up to the 8” using the fusion amp be a significant, or just marginal improvement? Also, we you able to do the trimming without removing the enclosure. And, what dremel attachment(s) did you use. I’m a dremel neophyte.

Can someone tell me if the rear pod wiring non-b&o 7 speaker sub-delete has bass blockers installed from the factory? I’ve got 6 1/2 Polk audios in the pods with polyfill. They sound ok but still a bit muffled. I re-ran the kicker 200.4 tuning at 25 volume, and did the gain...
Thank you! Great explanation. The Kicker 200.4 speaker connection is a harness connection for the front and back. How do I know where to put the probes? Can I test at the wire disconnected from the speaker?
I found this really interesting so I’m sharing. It’s long but worth the read. I have a multimeter but have no clue what I’m doing. Sometimes you just gotta say “WTF.”(Trivia…what movie is that from?)…
Using a multimeter to set the gain on an amplifier ensures that you are providing the right...

The "So or Sp/Tw" setting in Forscan's 727-01-01 configuration specifically controls the audio output through a code that is interpreted by the vehicle's Audio Control Module (ACM). Here's a breakdown of how it works:
1. **Code Interpretation**: Each digit in the Forscan setting...
This is where I get twisted up on how the Sp and TW settings in Forscan play into this. With my current setup, Sp all the way around with EQ at 0, was significantly better in terms of a more balanced sound across the frequency range. Now, with both sets of speakers in the front being 2-way...
I'm about to replace the kick panel speakers with Focal 6 1/2 ACX 165's. I'm running Kicker 200.4, Polk audio 4" dash, Polk Audio 6 1/2" pods, 6 3/4 4ohm sub with Fusion amp, EQ at 0, Sp/Sp all the way around.
I am going to run the DSP programming. Do I need to use Forscan to turn the EQ back...
There's a ton of content throughout the various threads, but they tend to "drift" between a lot of topics. I am creating this thread specifically dedicated to the tuning of the Kicker amps. Installations, panel removal, placement, etc...there's already plenty of written and video content. This...
This video is great for a step by step in taking the panels apart...BTW...before this, I never did this kind of work. Since I dove in, I've ripped the Bronco apart multiple times. Don't be intimidated.

I went with SP and SP. There was definitely more clarity with that setting than Sp/TW. However, that's going to be driven somewhat by what speaker you're running. I've got Polk Audio 6 1/2's in the pds with the pods stuffed with polyfill. The fill made a major improvement i sound...
The next step up is going with the Kicker 500.1 subwoofer amp and the 8" 4ohm sub. The "kicker here"...pun intended...is the install is significantly more involved.
Along with that step, you'll want to replace the 4" rear pods with 6 3/4 speakers and replacement pods. I went with Mabett. I went...
@RagnarKon Does the 727-01-02 setting effect whether or not the Kicker200.4 DSP tune function will work? I currently have it set at 00, and the kicker won't go into the tuning mode. I'm not getting the 10 second beep warning when I hit the button on the microphone wire. I'm wondering if I have...
I poly filled the Mabett pods with 6” Polk audios and poly filled the sub enclosure with as much as I could stuff in there. The poly fill cleaned up the sound a ton! I think I’m good now.
Thanks. I’m not going any deeper into amp upgrades. The sub will be my last change if I do it.
I might consider upgrading the kick panel speakers to a higher quality 6 “…probably stay with the Polk audios, but not sure if the “juice is worth the squeeze “ on that change.
I am running the 4ohm Kicker sub with the fusion amp. It’s a great upgrade, but I’m looking for a deeper and clearer low end.
Does anyone have experience making a similar change and if so, can you describe the difference it made in the overall listening experience?

Across the front on the top. I also put foam stripping in the Velcro closed wrap going across the top that covers the middle support bar. It tightened up the fit and made it quieter. I’ll take pictures later today or tomorrow.
